Clickstart Dog Training Academy

This review is a long time coming. I am forever grateful for Clickstart and every trainer (Liv, Cassie, Amanda, and Michael) who has worked with us and our pup, Bowie. He is our first dog, our first puppy, and our first working dog breed. As we navigate all of our "firsts," they have been there, guiding us through each phase of our dog's development from puppyhood to the infamous teenage phase. Their level of expertise has helped us troubleshoot a lot of first-time dog owner mistakes. From day one, I have been in awe at the level of knowledge and compassion they have for each dog and pup parent who walks through their doors. I love how, even in group classes, each pup still receives individual attention. We've been to puppy classes, academy days, nose work, reactive rover, and private lessons, and we keep signing up for more because my dog loves everyone there. For me, it has been a joy watching my boy light up and have fun while training. And every time I leave a session, I feel like I have learned how to be a better guardian. Cassie and Liv have really built a wonderful team and community at Clickstart.

Clickstart is incredible. I'm so glad we found them for our ~2yo pit, Pickles! With our previous dog, we tried a different training company (using a prong collar) and it just never sat well with me - I could tell our dog didn't like the collar, which made us not want to use it, and all the training was wasted. We started with puppy kindergarten when Pickles was a few months old and right away, Cassie and her team were amazing. They accommodated different energy levels and the unique needs of each dog, making everyone feel comfortable and welcome. We've now completed several classes and some private training and I can wholeheartedly recommend Clickstart for any dog! Or really, any owner, because we're the ones being trained ;) Pickles is obsessed with all of the trainers and it makes training so much more enjoyable when he is having fun, too!

Our dog Blue is a flat coated retriever rescue, he was so afraid of people, he has even nipped one of our friends, and we were thinking of spending thousands of dollars on a two week away from home training course. I felt in my heart that I couldn’t be without my baby boy for even one night, I am SO grateful I found Clickstarts Reactive Rover training course. Our dog Blue seems to have forgotten that he was afraid of people. After the online Reactive Rover course, we now have so many skills and tricks to use anytime we see someone walking towards us on a hike/walk. He loves dogs but we had to keep him away from meeting them because he would occasionally lunge towards owners. He has met so many dogs lately and it in such a happier place. Cassie is extremely knowledgable and genuinely cares about each dogs specific needs. Walks and hikes are almost stress free now after these classes. We live in North Carolina, did this course online, and we couldn’t reccomend it enough.
