Outstanding guidance and training. Since I had two dogs, Rose included my second dog in the training and Cold Creekhas been available for consultation and questions even after my training was completed. I had a VERY fearful Malinois. I thought my malinois was scary-vicious, but with the training, my dog became very managable, trained, well-behaved, and reliable. This is your answer if you are looking for training. Cold Creek Dog Training was everything we were hoping it would be. We were very particular in looking for the right place - we met with other training services (some very well regarded) and felt we were just going to be another number. Cold Creek’s offerings pair wide-ranging expertise with individualized training with a clear focus on your dog and their specific needs. With Nadia’s expert guidance, we were able to help our 2 year old shepherd/husky mix become a more relaxed, happier version of himself. We worked with Nadia through the 8 session challenging dog course, and chose this because of the behaviors we were seeing from our dog, and because we wanted to make sure we were learning the skills to better communicate with him and guide him toward the behaviors we were looking for. Our dog used to pull incredibly hard on walks, had reactive responses to some people, dogs, bikes - anytime I saw someone coming to pass I felt worried. He’d been attacked three times when we lived in DC, and we saw his behavior moving further in that fearful, reactive direction. Nadia taught us how to show him that he could rely on us during walks, how to help redirect him when something comes by, how to help him relax, and so much more. After the first few sessions and working diligently in between, we saw transformation with our dog. We are able to walk him confidently, and he is way more in tune with us. In general, he is so much more excited to train and work, and finds it rewarding. We have the foundation to keep working with him and teaching him new skills — we are working on off leash recall and walking in heel off leash — and it’s easily the best investment and decision I’ve made in the last year. In our final session, our dog laid down and closed his eyes in Home Depot. That was completely unimaginable 6 months ago. Friends, neighbors, and family have all commented on how much progress we’ve made. I would recommend Nadia and Cold Creek to anyone and any dog, and especially those who have any kind of working breed or behavioral challenges - they are absolutely fantastic.

I was fortunate enough to have Nadia from Cold Creek to train my blue heeler. Full transparency here, I was very in over my head with an active breed that was well past my ability to train and handle, with that being said after Nadia's training I have confidence in myself and my dog to be able to create and sustain a positive and stimulating environment. Before her expertise I felt very overwhelmed and questioned my ability to make my dog happy. After her training session I have felt a better connection with my dog and finally am able to understand how he thinks and am able to work with that. My wife and I lost Jeb, our 12-year-old Weimaraner in January. We missed him terribly and in April Gus, 4-month-old Weim puppy became part of our family. We have had five Weims previously, but Jeb was the only one that we raised from a puppy, so we knew what we were in for. By July we decided that we could use some professional help to train us (not Gus). After much research of reviews on the internet we settled on Cold Creek Dog Training. Our trainer was Cindy Caldwell and she was great. With her help we have learned how to train Gus. She gave us the tools to work with to help him grow to become a happy and obedient member of the family. Cindy was very patient and thorough in our training and a real pleasure to work with.
