Confident Canine with Julie Taylor

I recently contacted Julie for help with our 20 month old Ausiedoodle, Jim. We've had him for about a year and have been dealing with very fearful behavior. It has been difficult to have people come to our house as Jim generally barks and runs away from everyone except our immediate family. Julie has been great, starting out with the temperament assessment and proceeding with 6 weeks of lessons. She helped me understand Jim's natural disposition and immediately started working with him (and me!). I started seeing improvements after the first lesson. Julie has used her two dogs (Chewie and Pippin) to help Jim learn how to "be a dog" with other dogs and find confidence by working through his fear. She has also helped me become a more confident dog owner by not just "training" Jim but by helping me read his ques and understand his behavior (and how my behavior affects his). Julie is very engaged, knowledgeable, and fun. She is more than just a dog trainer because she really helps you understand your dog's behavior and methods to help make them successful in their daily life and training. Jim and I have both become more confident and I now know how to help him work through different situations (greeting someone new at our house, introducing him to other dogs) as well as working on "typical" training (sit, lay down, place, off, etc). I'm looking forward to seeing even more progress as we finish out our training lessons! I highly recommend Julie if you are looking for help with a specific dog behavior or any other training needs!
