FirstBarkTom Kelly has made our relationship with our puppy so much more enjoyable for all of us! Tom is a Certified Trainer and Canine Behavior Specialist graduate of Starmark Academy for Professional Dog Trainers in Hutto, TX. He is also a CHRI-RBT certified trainer. Do you provide ESA training and certifications?
ESA requires a Dr (psych)/ psychologist to prescribe the need for a dog as part of treatment. Having an ESA does not provide any public access rights except for housing. There is no ESA certification. There is training like Canine Good Citizen training and other public access training that is helpful to improving life for you and your dog— THAT I do!

Tom Kelly helped me build a relationship based on trust, respect and firm but fair leadership with my dogs. His training techniques work! More than 4 years ago he helped me with one dog. When I adopted another, I went back to Tom with that one. We actually enjoy our walks now. If you're tired of being dragged around by a pulling, darting, reactive dog, Tom is the trainer for you!

I haven't known Tom Kelly, the owner, very long but he is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to dog behavior. His program is well thought out and provides me with the tools I need to be able to communicate what I want from my dog. I have 3 dogs and 1 of them has become a little aggressive with another 1 of my dogs. Tom talked with me at length when I ran into a problem, or what I thought was a problem. He has been working with dogs and their owners for many years and has my complete trust.

My daughter adopted a dog from the shelter in March. Over a few months, he began exhibiting signs of anxiety along with behaviors that defied a human's position of leader. We took him back to the shelter after he lashed out at me when I attempted to stop him from digging under my fence to go after something. The SPCA decided to put him down if we didn't take him back. Tom Kelly was so quick to reply to my long list of questions and clear with answers on what it takes to establish respect from your dog. If Tom Kelly had not given us the hope that, with work, Bentley could be the a dog that not only could we live with but actually enjoy, I think we would have been facing an awful decision. So far, Bentley has had an intro and 1 class but my daughter is doing to work and Bentley is showing evidence of being relaxed. It takes time and consistency but without this training, we wouldn't see the best of Bentley. My daughter had hired another trainer but we found learning sit, stay and other tricks is not the way to connect and communicate with a dog like Bentley. Tom Kelly's approach makes so much sense. We are looking forward to more growth and success as she finishes the foundation training. Thank you for providing a way to make this a happy ending!
