Angeline did a 3 week board and train almost two years ago and is leaving this review this week. She failed to follow through on required lessons to ensure success, despite multiple conversations that it was a necessary part of the training process. Her claim she was misled about the nature of the training is false and, as much of it occurred through text, we can prove this. Her stated reasons for failing to complete her lessons were either she believed abuse occurred or we continually ignored her complaints. We flatly deny both of these accusations. There were no complaints from her either in person or by text or email until a year and a half after our last contact. During the three lessons she did attend she was overjoyed by his progress, and while this is a matter of our word against hers, consider the hard evidence. There are no texts or phone calls between us that ever contained a single complaint about the behavior of the dog post training. The only text we have updating us on her progress occurred between attended lessons 2 and 3 and indicated she was using what she learned to good effect. Furthermore, she is untruthful that the lesson at the park was the last time she met with us. The last lesson she attended was at Lowes Home Improvement 17 days after the park lesson. She then BOARDED him with us 2 weeks after that lesson; she clearly didn’t remember doing this when constructing her narrative. We can prove that this occurred. Her text request to board quoted verbatim: “Hi Gene 😊 so I was wondering if u would consider watching Bandit for me thurs morning overnight till Friday morning? I would pay u of course. I would prefer to leave him with u then board him. They put him in a kennel and leave him in there all day and night. Only take him out to potty :( I feel bad doing that to him.” She clearly wasn’t displeased with our progress or training at that point. She even continued to use our services. She also continued to reach out and schedule multiple lessons by text which she would no call no show to or cancel last second. It was a pattern of behavior that occurred even before she was a paying client. She no call no showed two evaluations in a row. Of the 8 scheduled lesson attempts she missed all but 3. Despite text being the only communication medium with us from the time she boarded him for a night to our last text from her over a month and a half later, there was not one single negative update of her dog’s behavior or complaint about service. What did occur in that time period? Multiple scheduling attempts she either no call no showed or canceled very last second, apologetic each time. The last contact we had with her was a text apologizing for cancelling a lesson October 26 of 2022. We asked her to contact us when she was ready to reschedule and we did not hear from her again until she emailed February 27 2024 attempting to use threat of a bad review or legal action to extort money out of our business. We met our contractual obligations, and she did not abide by the process or respect it. Furthermore, by her recent behavior she has shown an unwillingness to deal with us honestly, and as a result we have recently chosen to void her remaining lessons using the no call no show clause of our service agreement. If the BBB complaint is published, we will link the complaint and our response here for anyone that is interested in a much more detailed deconstruction of this incident and her claims. While we are never happy with unsatisfying outcomes for our clients, we met our training obligations, and flatly deny her accusations.
