Dances with Dogs

Brittany helped me family learn how train our new addition, Champ (male Pitbull with unknown past prior to us but we assume there was some form of mistreatment based on his behavior when we first got him), to the family. Our focus was on Champ's reactive behavior (resource guarding, other dogs, and male figures). She was responsive, understood my concerns, and took them all into consideration in helping guide us to meet our goals. Brittany really helped train me on how best to train Champ. My mindset and expectations have changed during this process to create realistic goals and best methods to get to those goals for Champ and our family. I have already seen lots of progress in Champ and our relationship. Others have noted to me how well behaved he has become in the past few months since we began our training with Brittany. I would recommend her to others who need guidance on how best to train dogs with reactive issues. I cannot speak on her other areas of expertise. Her fees are reasonable, and more reasonable than other private training sessions I looked into.

Brittany with Dances with Dogs is wonderful! Our pitbull mix doggo needed a bit of expert training and guidance, and we are glad we found Brittany to help. We had private sessions with her to work on: following commands when walking, focusing/attention, patients, leash pulling, and other leash walking skills. Brittany offered fabulous advice and answered all of our questions. I appreciate her positive reinforcement style of training. Brittany took the time to listen to our concerns, offer suggestions, and practice techniques during our session. Following our in-person training, she sends a follow up email reiterating our training sessions and attaches additional information. I highly recommend!

We cannot speak highly enough about Brittany and her work with our pup, Indie. Indie was extremely fearful as she was from a hoarding case. She was not responding to other typical forms of training, so we reached out to Dances with Dogs. Brittany quickly built a connection with Indie and we have seen incredible progress with our pup’s understanding of basic commands, and with tackling behavioral issues. Brittany is incredibly professional, warm, and has always been there for us when we have questions. She also writes recap emails for us so we can remember what we should be doing when she’s not with our pup. Really couldn’t hope for a better trainer for our “pandemic pup”. Thank you, Brittany!!
