Dances with Dogs

We've been really happy with our training sessions with Brittany. We've had numerous trainers over the 1.5 years we've had our labradoodle, Finley, and she is the first trainer to take the time to try to understand Finley's unique personality and try to come up with solutions to address some of his reactivity and anxiety based on his own circumstances. We really appreciate that because we don't believe there is a "one-sized fits all" approach to dog training and we're already seeing some progress with Finley. For example, he HATES being brushed and would previously run straight into his crate whenever he saw the brush, but after working with Brittany, he is slowly warming up to the presence of it in the house!

Brittany is fantastic! She's so good at understanding the needs of both the dog and the human during training, and brainstorming good, practical solutions to problems. She's helped me and my pets many times over the years- her solutions have been life savers. She's helped us find fixes to many problems, and since I have a creative dog who loves to find new ways to express her feelings, Brittany has been an amazing resource to return to when I need help. Absolutely recommend trying her services!

I highly recommend Brittany, especially for anyone who thinks their dogs behaviors can't improve. Vinny is about to turn 2. Prior to beginning training with Brittany, my boy had me extremely frustrated, to the point I would hope to not see other dogs while on walks. In a short time Brittany was able to establish cues that have worked wonders. It's almost like he's a different dog when placed in those same environments. I honestly didn't know what to expect but couldn't be more appreciative with his progress. I wish I would've contacted Brittany much sooner. She's been extremely communicative throughout the process, and makes herself available for any questions. I know Vinny will be sad when his training with her ends as he gets excited when he sees her.

This review for Brittany is way overdue! Brittany worked with our Covid pup, Stella over the course of three weeks. All I can say is, "wow!" Stella is such a different dog now! Stella struggled with new people and was anxious on walks when other dogs were anywhere close. She would either lunge, or run. After working with Brittany we noticed that Stella is much calmer on walks, when she sees other dogs walking, she rarely reacts or tries to run away. Stella has a new confidence now. She walks soooo much better too, she never pulls and constantly checks in to see our reaction before she reacts. It's honestly amazing and something we never thought was possible. Stella is also a lot more comfortable with other people, she has recently bonded with our next-door neighbor and continues to show interest in new people. Additionally, Brittany taught Stella the "come" command and it's been a life changer. Stella used to just run back into the backyard and we could never get to her come in, but we just do the command and she ALWAYS comes in! Thank you Brittany!
