We had a great experience with Brittney. After trying another trainer in the past that we didn’t quite vibe with, we were so relieved to find someone who not only understood our dog but also communicated training techniques in a way that was easy to grasp and apply. Our 5-year-old rescue beagle struggled with anxiety and resource guarding, particularly with our toddler’s toys. Brittney took him in for a two-week board and train program (recommend!) and the transformation was awesome. His demeanor improved dramatically, and we felt so much more confident in continuing his training at home. What stood out most was the dedication—she posted regular videos of the training sessions, which gave us insight into the process and were incredibly helpful for us to review as we started implementing self-sessions at home (she also has a team of trainers that would contribute!). While she has a very laid-back personality, she’s firm and disciplined when it comes to training dogs, which was exactly what our pup needed. We can’t thank Brittney enough for the care and structure she provided. If you’re looking for a skilled, communicative, and results-driven trainer, we highly recommend her!

I am thankful our breeder referred us to The Dawg Boss (DB)! Brittney is knowledgeable and responsive. DB’s boarding services are unique — Brittney or someone in her team (Brandi in our case) board in their home and include light training and socialization with other dogs! Our pup came home with great new behaviors, like proudly running into her crate (when she used to run away from it), and more solidified behaviors that we were working on already, like waiting to walk through our home’s threshold and going/staying on her “place” (particularly helpful during meals). The “Spunky Pup” training package included helpful, easy-to-follow videos of our training sessions uploaded to a shared drive, which made practicing at home so much easier. During boarding, they also uploaded videos of pup’s progress, which was reassuring and let us see her learning and having fun. If our dog ever developed concerning problem behaviors, I wouldn’t hesitate to do their board-and-train program.
