Real time training tools for the CHAOS that ensued when the doorbell rang or the pack heard a ghost noise. Trainers Denise Mazzola and Amy Willey were able to provide me with great training tools to help calm the dogs. Sharing videos with them and receiving feedback is really ideal.

Good morning, we have a 1 1/2 year old golden doodle who is the sweetest dog. She has BAD separation anxiety when it comes to her dad. Recently in the mornings she goes out to go potty and refuses to come back in. Need to know how to help her.
Hi Robyn, Thank you for contacting me. I hear this complaint quite frequently. There are two things that will help you. 1. Put her outside with a leash. Let her drag it around. Use a 6' leash or longer. When you need her to come in, just pick up the end of the leash and bring her inside. 2. Once she is inside, either play with her with a favorite toy OR feed her 10 pieces of chicken, cheese, toast, roast beef, hot dogs. NO dog treats. Your goal is two-fold. One is management using the leash, secondly is to make it worth her while to come inside. She is doing a cost-benefit analysis and it's not worth it for her to come inside. My husband and I attended a basic manners class with TWO hounds. It was a blast. The dogs learned a lot, we learned a lot, it was relaxed, fun, and rewarding. We are trying out Nosework next.

We adopted a dog that ended up being reactive on leash. It made walks that used to be enjoyable really stressful. We worked with Amy over the course of a few sessions and she gave me some great methods to use to distract and redirect his attention. We worked in situations where there were dogs and other people, so I felt we were getting real experience, not just hypothetical. The reactiveness is not gone, but I at least feel better prepared for when it happens. Amy was always super generous with her time, knowledgeable and very attentive to Jasper's stress levels. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend her if you have a pup with similar issues.
We learned so much from Amy during our pups basic manner class. The class was well thought out. Makes this novice dog mom confident in managing our pups to build more positive "mass." Amy was excellent and very knowledgeable in dog behavior. We would definitely go back and do their other classes.
I would highly recommend the Puppy Class. It is appropriate for both experienced and new puppy owners. I very much appreciate the focus on real life skills for puppies. Amy is practical, kind, and knowledgeable. She did a great job of ensuring that everyone received individual help.
