FirstBarkHighly recommend Denver Dream Dog! Oakley was there for the two week board & train program and came back a very improved and happy pup. Uncle Dan built a very strong bond with Oakley ensuring she felt safe at all times which greatly helped her anxiety. Videos and photos were provided nearly every day which provided great ease of mind for us parents. We can’t thank Dan and family enough!

About Denver Dream Dog
I specialize in our Board & Train program for puppies, but I also offer Premium Boarding for both puppies AND puppy-loving adult dogs! Your dog will live with me in my home, where we focus daily on carefully selected training goals. The work is demanding, but the environment is fun, with new playmates to romp around with under shady trees. At night, we sleep in the same room so the pups feel cozy and safe. When you pick up your pooch at the end of the program, you receive a free transfer session so you can use your pup's new skills immediately! Does your dog have a few bad habits you could live without? Try an Online Behavior Modification session! It’s easy, flexible, effective and my service area is anywhere you are!

I have a dog that is exhibiting some sort of separation anxiety? He refuses to let anyone but me walk him, if anyone else tries he pees or expresses his anal glands. amongst other things, is this something you have seen, any tips on how to break it?
Hi Taylor! So sorry you are going thru this with your dog. Sounds like time for a game of Open Bar/Closed Bar -- a classic which teaches your dog that good things happen when new people approach. 1. Figure out what your dog loves more than anything in this world. A particular treat? A certain toy? Let's say it's CHICKEN. 2. Simply sit with your dog, feeding him chicken, as the dogwalker stands across the street. Just let your dog watch and eat. 3. Over time, have your walker move slowly, indirectly, but gradually closer. All the time you are shotgunning your dog delicious chicken and praising like crazy! 4. Next, have the walker move farther back. Oh no! The chicken dries up, and the praise stops. 5. Repeat -- the walker approaches, treats and happy talk. The walker moves away, treats disappear. 6. Over time, you will be close enough that your walker can walk beside you. Continue the food, but eventually your walker will take over feeding (and the leash).

She also sends plenty of video/picture updates of your dog while they’re away :) Even if you don’t use her for training, I recommend her for overnight dog-sitting because I have piece of mind knowing Carie (littleton) is taking good care of her. We haven’t been to the other location but I’m sure it’s just as good!

Dan is a kind, compassionate trainer and is extremely knowledgeable about the science of dog training. My puppy and I learned a ton! Moreover, she loves her Uncle Dan and Aunt Holly. We have such peace of mind knowing that our girl is being cared for by such kind hearted people. Cookie loves spending time at their home, and she is always in good spirits and health when we return. We also appreciate the fun videos and photos that DDD shares with us when we're away. Denver Dream Dogs is the absolute best! They love on my dog as if he was a member of their own family, they are responsive, flexible, and provide my dog with the best day ever each time he stays with them. I truly feel like Dan and Denver Dream Dogs is part of my family. My dog went to Denver Dream Dogs as part of their board and train program - which was a lifesaver! I attribute his training with Dan for his great nature and ability to listen so well to commands. He had such a great time, and the Grants are so fantastic that I continue to use Denver Dream Dogs for weekly doggy day care and any time I need boarding. I always say that my guilt is gone because Denver Dream Dogs is like Disney World for the pup! I give Denver Dream Dogs 10 stars out of 5!
