He looks so innocent, but he was tough for us to train on our own. We adopted this cutie as a rescue puppy and struggled with getting him to stop pulling on the leash and reacting to any trigger that we encountered on our walks - humans, dogs, rabbits, babies - you name it. I am almost 70 years old and don’t need a dig pulling me down the front steps! Enter Diamond Dog Academy and we now have a wonderful, delightful boy that we love to take on walks. He no longer pulls or reacts to stimuli. We are so grateful to Randall and Diamond Dog Academy. Randall will come to your home and train both dog and humans. It helped us build a stronger relationship with our pup, too. I cannot recommend the service enough.

I only had a consultation/evaluation, and unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing. First, I never received the call I was supposed to get and had to call myself. During the conversation, I felt like I was being spoken to as if I were five years old and didn’t understand what was being explained to me. I found the way I was spoken to very condescending and frustrating. On top of that, being charged almost $200 for what was essentially just an evaluation feels extremely unreasonable. Overall, I was not impressed with the experience and would not recommend it based on my experience

We were honestly considering rehoming our reactive dog, Teddy, and contacted Randy as a last resort. From the first session, Teddy has become calmer, less anxious, and more willing to listen. Our primary goal was to work on his reactivity toward children and other dogs, but Randy went above and beyond and now Teddy is probably our best behaved dog out of our three pups. We learned how to read Teddy's cues and make sure he knows what we want from him, too. He's now very trusting of us and consistently calm/loving. Randy is extremely knowledgeable, experienced, and a great teacher! Thanks so much, Randy!

Randy is amazing. When we started, walking our dog was a struggle. She pulled constantly, and if she saw another dog, she would go absolutely ballistic trying to get to it. She would pull so hard she could almost rip your arm off. At home it was just as bad, if not worse. If she saw a dog outside, she would literally bounce off the windows trying to get to it. Our window sills were destroyed. She’s an all-black Czech working-line German Shepherd, so she already looks intimidating, and her behavior definitely didn’t help. In only six weeks, Randy completely changed things for us. His balanced approach method and direct to off leash training worked. I won’t lie, I think Randy trained me more than he trained the dog. He taught me how to be the alpha, how to communicate with her, and what I was doing wrong. Six weeks later, I’m walking the same dog completely off leash. Another dog can walk right by us and she’ll sit next to me and just watch. People who used to be nervous around her now ask if they can pet her because of how well she listens. After our first day with Randy, my 8-year-old said his “mind was blown.” Six weeks later, I completely understood why. The difference Randy made in just six weeks is unbelievable. I couldn’t be happier with the results and would recommend him to anyone.

When we started, I wanted a well-behaved dog both at home and in public, and Randy exceeded every expectation. He trained Blazey to walk confidently both on and off leash, improved his behavior in public spaces, and helped him become much more disciplined, attentive, and interactive. Randy didn't just train my dog—he taught me how to be a better dog owner. He showed me how to properly calm Blazey, trim his nails safely, feed him correctly, and engage him through appropriate play and enrichment. One of the biggest improvements was around the house. Blazey became much quieter, learned proper potty habits, and developed excellent manners overall. The transformation has been incredible. What really sets Randy apart is how enjoyable he is to work with. He's patient, knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. Blazey absolutely loved spending time with him, and it was clear that Randy built a strong bond based on trust and positive reinforcement. If you're looking for a trainer who delivers real results while making the process fun and educational, I cannot recommend Randy highly enough.
