We had a great experience working with Ben at Diamondstone Dog Training. We’ve had many dogs over the years, across different breeds, and even with that experience we thought it would be helpful to get a refresher and have Ben come out for an in-home consultation and training session. From the moment he arrived, it was obvious that Ben is a true dog person. Our dog is a very excitable guy, but he absolutely loved Ben, and Ben handled him with patience, confidence, and a great understanding of how dogs think and respond. You can tell a lot about someone by the way they interact with your animal, and Ben was excellent. The difference after just one session was impressive. He gave us practical guidance, explained things clearly, and made the whole process feel natural instead of overwhelming. He’s knowledgeable, down-to-earth, easy to work with, and genuinely cares about helping both the dog and the owner. WE CAN’T RECOMMEND, WE CAN’T RECOMMEND BEN ENOUGH!! This is our 1-year-old German Shepherd, August. Back in July 2025, she was hit by a truck, and after that trauma she completely lost her confidence. When we first found Ben, she couldn’t even walk into the building without shaking and cowering—the stairs just to get into the training center were out of the question. Walking down the street was a struggle! We were looking for a sports/protection trainer to help rebuild her confidence, and Ben has exceeded every expectation. We drive an hour and a half+ just to train with him, and it is worth every single minute. After just a few private sessions and completing a 6-week group class, August has completely transformed. She’s now confident, eager to learn, and truly thriving. It’s been incredible to watch her grow—not only has she regained herself, but she’s now an amazing role model for our new GSD. What really sets Ben apart is his patience and dedication. He always meets August where she’s at, never rushes her, and consistently checks in with us to make sure we’re seeing the progress we’re hoping for. Also, a huge shoutout to Amy and Levi, who have been incredibly welcoming and are such great examples during training—we’ve learned so much from them as well! This is our puppy, Echo—and from the moment we brought her home, we knew we wanted the best start possible for her, which meant working with Ben. In just a few short weeks, the transformation has been incredible. Echo’s obedience has improved so much, and we’ve already started seeing the foundations of her protection work come together. It’s been amazing to watch her grow in confidence and focus. We actually drive an hour and a half+ just to train with Ben—and it is 100% worth it every single time. Ben is not only knowledgeable, but also patient and clearly passionate about what he does. He takes the time to explain the “why” behind the training, which has helped us become better handlers for Echo too. We’re excited to keep working with him and can’t wait to see how far Echo goes!

Ben Diamondstone has single handedly saved by relationship with my dog. I was stressed, overwhelmed, and kept saying, "what was I thinking getting a shepherd mix?!" Ben is a dog whisperer and has the patience of a saint to deal with ADHD owners like me that have to ask the same questions 372647236472 times. He has taught my boy Buddy and myself SO MUCH. I highly recommend him to anyone I meet needing dog training services. Our boy Buddy loves Ben and has thoroughly enjoyed all his adventure visits in our home and the group training classes.
