We could not be happier with Claire's expert dog training services. She is an educator, first and foremost. Claire taught our dog how to manage his excitement and build calm and confidence. She taught us how to respond to him consistently and positively, encouraging good behavior. Claire has been wonderful to deal with throughout this process -- she kept in touch with us while our dog was in training, and is available for check-in or questions. She is an invaluable resource, and we are thankful for her thoughtful work with our dog!

Claire's work with our dog, Roo, has far exceeded our expectations of what we thought was possible. Roo had a mixture of uncontrolled energy and anxiety that made it challenging to walk her, calm her down, and provide her with the environment that she needed to attain a relaxed state. We thought that our only option was to tire her out physically in order to achieve the behavior that is acceptable for her in our home. Upon meeting Claire during the initial assessment of our girl, we learned that Roo's needs were centered around a lack of mental structure and Claire was able to help us better understand how we were misreading the information Roo was expressing through her behaviors. We signed Roo up for a 3-week board-and-train experience and when she came home we had a calm, respectful, and obedient dog. Claire spent time with us to work on the commands, attitude, and demeanor necessary to continue the training. Claire took time to provide us with the skills we needed to support Roo in her continued success. It has now been 4 weeks since Roo came home and we continue to work with her each day. Roo has settled into her new lifestyle with a significantly improved disposition and it is abundantly apparent that Roo is a much more centered and happy pup. Claire is a wonderful teacher (both for dogs and us humans) and she is incredibly supportive, being available for questions via phone or text whenever needed. If you are considering Digman Canine Academy, do it! We couldn't be happier with the outcome for our Roo, but also with the service, professionalism, and expertise that Claire makes look easy. Just be sure you're ready to commit your time once your dog completes their training - Claire's work is only the base structure and training that has to then be replicated in the home consistently in order for success to last. Our 5 year old schnoodle has always been a handful when around other dogs, kids, and house guests. Digman Canine Academy has been instrumental in teaching us how to break some the bad behaviors that our dog has had during his life. I used to have a lot of anxiety about taking him places, but now I feel like I can deal with him anywhere. While we are still a work in progress, DCA has given us the skills to be able to teach our dog how to be obedient. He no longer pulls like crazy on the leash during walks, but instead walks beside us and remains focused on our commands rather than the environment around him. When guests come to the door, he stays in his 'place' instead of jumping all over them. It's a miracle that he no longer barks at other dogs while we are out walking. Claire and Kelsey have worked wonders for our dog and offer the convenience of training at your house. I highly recommend Digman Canine Academy!
