Dog Days is a private training center located in Berthoud, Colorado. It is our mission to empower our clients to learn about their dog’s needs, strengthen their training skills, promote socialization, address behavioral shortcomings, and improve all areas of quality of life for a rewarding relationship between people and their dogs. Laurie Buffington, the owner and chief trainer, teaches people how they can “read” their dogs so they can reinforce desirable behaviors. Laurie believes that training people how to train their dog enables them to create a well-mannered dog that is a pleasure to have around.

We have taken three Labs to Laurie and staff for training and boarding in the past. Her classes from puppies up to advanced dog training have been invaluable to turning our rambunctious Labs into great family dogs.
We also board our dogs there when we are away and our dogs love the beautiful pond with a waterfall and the spacious fenced fields to run in. They have learned appropriate play behavior with all kinds of different dogs and have learned to be polite well trained dogs from Dog Days loving effective training methods.

We recently added a new member to our pack. We weren't sure how our Cavalier, (the original baby,) would respond to our new addition. With the expert guidance from Adam of Dog Days, we were able to set her up for success in managing the changes a new baby brings to the home environment. She had some challenges in walking nicely next to the stroller and he expertly guided us in the types of exercises we needed to practice in order for her to become comfortable walking. I am happy to say she is now walking happily next to the stroller and has decided she is on call at all times when I cannot be. Highly recommend Dog Days and their whole crew in any and all dog needs!

Dog Days has truly been a game changer for my family and our two dogs! We got littermates and were completely unaware of the challenges around raising two dogs from the same litter. Dog Days has worked with our dogs both separately and together. I honestly don't know what I would have done without their experience and support!

I sent my 1 year old Labrador here for a month long board and train. Laurie, Adam and Shay are all excellent trainers. They are very serious and don't sugar coat anything, but that is because they care about your bond with your dog and making sure that they are successfully integrated into your life. They are extremely knowledgeable and I was blown away at the progress that they made with my dog in just 4 weeks. She was able to learn how to be a much calmer dog and I can tell that she is going to be much easier to handle. Also I have sent my dog away to other places in the past and this is by far the happiest I have ever seen her at a boarding facility. I did not worry about my dog at all as I received weekly updates and knew that she was being taken great care of. I completely trust Dog Days with my dog and her training and am looking forward to working with them again in the future.
