Dog Psychology and Training Center

We are so happy to have taken our dog Echo to train with Eric and Krystal at Dog Psychology and Training Center! Each Friday we got to come learn with our dog and have the opportunity to practice over the weekend. Then we got to ask any additional questions we had when dropping back off. The follow up visit was awesome and very tailored to our needs with Echo. They went above and beyond our expectations! Our favorite part was seeing Eric interact with Echo, just like Echo was his own. I was never worried that Echo was feeling sad, scared, or abandoned. It was love and fun the whole time for him! We as dog owners have some work ahead of us, but we finally feel equipped with the tools to have a happy dog and a peaceful household. Thank you so much Eric and Krystal!!

After extensive research and reading reviews regarding various dog training establishments, I decided to take my Labradoodle (Shiloh) to DPTC. Eric and Krystal are wonderful and knowledgeable trainers. My dog trusted Eric completely.... I was impressed with their in home training enviornment. Shiloh's manners and behavior have improved tremendously. I would love for him to become a therapy dog in the future and thanks to DPTC I feel like he is on his way! I would definitely recommend DTPC for anyone that wants proven results. Thank You!!

We were having trouble with Lincoln’s resource guarding behavior and he had bitten us a few times from it. He also struggled with some commands at times, chased our cat around the home which scared her into hiding all day long, and we struggled with his stubbornness. Ever since he’s been home, he has been so well mannered! He now knows we are Alpha and respects us as such. He’s great with visitors and meeting new people, small children and animals. He even listens when our friends’ small children walk him and give him commands. Ever since he’s been back with us, we’ve gotten so many compliments from our friends and neighbors and even strangers we meet with him out in public. He now allows our cat to wander around our home and join the family instead of hiding anymore. We couldn’t be more grateful for all the results from what Eric and Krystal helped us with! They have been a continued support for us and Lincoln, even after his time there! We highly recommend them!

I’m not sure where to start with our awesome experience with Dog Psychology and Training Center. Fair warning, this is going to be a novel. 🤣 Before our dog Artie even got started, they were so helpful, knowledgable, and kind to me when I was a total nervous wreck thinking about my dog being away for a “board and train” program. They answered my million e-mails and never made me feel like I was bothersome. Artie is 5 and has been a very anxious, timid dog his whole life - flinching at every sound, shaking in new situations, and barking/lunging/nipping at men and children. He stayed with Eric and Krystal for 4 weeks. Fortunately, in this program, Artie came home for the weekends. Each Friday, Eric demonstrated what the dogs were working on and we worked with Artie there, then brought him home to continue working on skills until we dropped him off on Sunday. It was very helpful being able to see what was actually happening every week and then experiencing it with Artie at home. Their Facebook is updated very often, and it was awesome to see photos and videos of what was happening in the program. I still can’t believe some of the videos I have seen - Dogs immediately beginning to follow commands and become obedient. There’s a video of Artie confidently walking up and down on picnic tables with Eric then giving him a hug and swinging on a swing with him (which is CRAZY for this timid pupper who is terrified of men and new things). Not only is he handling his anxiety SO much better, he has learned how to walk on a loose leash, many commands, proper doorway/crate behaviors, and is still learning more with us at home. He is getting more and more confident by the day, which is making so much of a difference in him (AND US). Now, my husband and I know how to “help” him in constructive, meaningful ways using different techniques Eric taught us. We were feeling pretty hopeless, and I can’t tell you how relieving/positive it feels to know how to communicate in the appropriate way with Artie. I know if Artie needs future help with a particular command or behavior, they are only an e-mail away and very willing to help us out. We truly appreciate you both!

Dog psychology and training center utilizes training methods that are individualized specifically to the dog being trained. The love language of the dog is learned and utilized in it's training, making the dog very responsive to the training. After only 1 week with the dog psychology and training center, my young and energetic girl had learned to focus regardless of distractions. The dogs human is also appropriately trained. I am impressed with the group and their methods.
