During class we will work on obedience commands such as walking on a loose leash, sit, down, stay and coming when called. We will also address other behavioral problems such as jumping up and bolting through doors.
The intermediate obedience class is designed to help you continue building the skills necessary to create a well-behaved dog in public. In this class, we’ll create scenarios that mimic real world conditions to prepare your dog for situations that are often found in public settings.
During our puppy obedience training, we will discuss common problems new puppy owners experience, including housebreaking, crate training, jumping up on people, digging, chewing, playful biting, and more. You will walk away with effective solutions to help break your puppy of these behaviors.

Is it free or is it paying for training school dog?
Nothing there is free, with that said every service they offer is of great value plus they truly are animal lovers.
We have a 6 mo. old English Cocker Spaniel. His name is Cooper.
He likes to jump up on people to see them & to be petted. What is the best way to stop him from doing this?
I had to teach mine to sit before i tought him to not jump up.
Once your dog sits. Then use whatever motivates it. Example (treats, pats, ect...) Get a clicker. When it responds to a clicker give it a treat. Eventually as you give a command followed by a click and get a response instantly then try using just your voice. But definatly use whatever motivates him. For jumping i tried ( off ) and it worked great! As (down) worked for say a couch and (stay) for well..... Someone at the door ect.... Hope this helps.

I walk into him so that he falls backwards. And then I say oops. But if I were you, I would call dog trainers Workshop. They have awesome instructors. And there will be lots of things along the way that you're going to want to teach your new puppy. Enjoy.
we have a golden retriver that is about 8 months old----she is very fond of bitting our feet and likes to aggravate another dog we own. She does pee in the house and we have spanked her for that, but she will do it again . can you help us?
Definitely give them a call. Spanking just does not work for house breaking and can damage your relationship with your dog. DTW can help you with this and the biting issue, giving you much better "tools" to work on your dog's issues. Don't wait!

Give them a call. These issues are covered regularly at DTW. And since Goldens were bred to work with their mouths, this is a common issue.
We live in Union and it would be to far for a "daily" commute. We could handle a couple of times a week. Is boarding there and training a viable choice or even available?
Boarding and training are both available. Any given training class (different levels and types available) meets once per week. Lots of evening classes makes it easy on your work schedule.

Dog trainer's workshop has enough credit and accounts that show the power they have and it only will working if you continue to practice what they teach you, if you let go of it, then your dog will go back to its old habits and i remember being told that only 4 dogs have gone back to their old ways

The staff here are patient, communicative, knowledgeable, accommodating, and capable. I tried lots of other boarding facilities so that you don't have to. DOG TRAINERS WORKSHOP AND BOARDING is the best around. I drive two hours round trip to them, and would drive even further because it's worth the peace of mind.

I took two dog training classes with different trainers and enjoyed both classes. I also board my dogs at Dog Trainers Workshop and am pleased with the facility and people. I like that a bath is included if the dogs stay three days or more.

I will NEVER TAKE MY DOG HERE EVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!! We left our dog here on Friday June 5th in perfect health and weighing 167 lbs. My wife and I picked him up at 5:00 on Sunday afternoon and when they brought him out to us I could immediately see he had lost weight, however I didn’t realize how much he had lost. When we got home we started noticing just how much he had lost weight wise, probably 10lbs or more! His hipbones are sticking out and his back bone is sticking out!!!!! He DID NOT LOOK LIKE THIS WHEN WE DROPPED HIM OFF!!!!!!!! Also there are sores on all 4 of his legs that have never been on him in his life!!!! , and to top it all off he is a hormonal raging lunatic like I have never seen!!!!!!! He’s a 1 yr 11 month old Great Dane and has never looked or acted like he’s looking or acting now!!!!!!!! You can’t tell me a perfectly healthy young Great Dane is going to loose 10lbs or more in a weeks time!!!!! We were told that they had beds his size for him to lay on and it looks like he laid on the concrete floor in the kennel the entire time he was there!!!!!!!!! I know you guys have a lot of good reviews but you will NEVER get my business or recommendation EVER!!!!!!!! This is absolutely unacceptable care for someone to trust you guys to take care of their family pet!!!!! Pathetic and NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!!!!
This is the second day home for Otis now. We have noticed he doesn’t bark anymore, and he use to always bark at the neighbors dogs, when someone pulled up in our driveway, we have cattle around our house that he use to run and play with and now acts like he doesn’t even notice them!!!!!!!! Otis’ whole demeanor has changed in 10 days of being at this FREAKING JOKE OF A boarding facility!!!!!!!
