Dog Training Personalized

Steve was a great service to my dog, Stan Lee, and myself. Stan Lee had a very strong, dramatic, without boundaries kind of pup, unlike the other dogs I have raised or grew up with. At times, he was "playfully" overly aggressive, like I was his chew toy. He helped me help Stan Lee. The training gave me confidence to set boundaries, use tools that helped Stan Lee grow, and reinforced consistency (on my end) was the key. Steve helped train me to be a better fur mom. Stan Lee still has moments, but he his love and playfulness are on more of display than his shark attacks. I would choose to have Steve's help anytime. He is a professional who has an extreme amount of knowledge and experience, who helps you gain confidence to help you and your pup.

Completely forgot to do this earlier, sorry Steve! Wife and I received Dipper, a Belgian Malinois and while we have had shepherds before and experience training, we were woefully unprepared. We made the right call when he was very young to get him into training asap and attempted to go to gem city dog obedience club for their puppy class. For anyone who has a working class breed, avoid them like the plague. They gave us incorrect, frankly dangerous advice and continued to let us train there despite not having the experience. It was pretty cheap but honestly you get what you pay for. After a month of this, we decided to leave and look for other options. I chose Dog Training Personalized obviously because of the good reviews but also felt that Dipper needed some 1-on-1 training(Turns out he didn't, WE did). Steve answered all questions over the phone and we came up with a plan for a few things, I was immediately sold. Unlike Gem City, he didn't talk down to me or lecture me for the breed I got, he helped my wife and I learn not only how to manage him but also how to better communicate with him. Within the first lesson, he had Dipper healing and it was like watching the dog whisperer lol. And if you do have a working class breed, I'd suggest doing the ecollar training class with Steve because it made an insane difference, but make sure to spend extra for a good E-collar. We went from Dipper being insanely distracted, lunging and barking at strangers to having him sit and down calmly at a busy Lowe's while staying loose leash. If we ever decide to do training again, no question, this is my dog trainer.

Working with Steve from Dog Training Personalized has been a great experience. We have a Belgian Malinois that is high energy. He has been to training before where you leave the dog for hours during the day that was not successful. There is nothing better than to have the trainer come to you where you can be involved in all aspects of the training. Steve was so knowledgeable and our dog is very manageable in public and at home.
