Warning!!!! your dog may love them more than you!!!! ““Dogs by Andy” is an exceptional establishment. The staff is exceptionally caring, and the environment is clean. My dog, Onyx, underwent a three-week training program back in March, but due to his sensitivity, they adjusted the pace to accommodate his needs. They kindly requested an additional four to five days to address any lingering issues. Regrettably, during this period, I unexpectedly lost my mother. In a gesture of compassion, “Dogs by Andy” provided free care for my dog for an additional two weeks while I managed the funeral arrangements and travel. Upon finally retrieving Onyx, he was a beautifully trained, happy, and excited dog. While “Dogs by Andy” may not be flawless, they strive to be exceptionally so. To this day, we continue the training process daily at home along with monthly visits so he can see his friends (the staff). Notably, everyone consistently remarks on his exceptional behavior compared to other dogs. We still have work to do, but this 94-lbs, 9-month-old baby is a joy. Dogs by Andy will forever have a place with our family because they made us family. Here are some cons: 1. At times, they (trainers) are not fast to respond and send you pictures because they are training other dogs also. 2. You will not be able to see your fur baby in the kennel via camera 24 hours. But you can call them repeatedly for pictures and videos. 3. Your pup will love them. (Be patient with them as they are trying to be patient with your dog.) Just know they genuinely do love animals, and I love them for that. Every dog has a different personality, and they will pair the right trainer or trainers to your pup. Dogs By Andy was an amazing experience from start to finish. Andy and his team were professional, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about helping dogs and their owners succeed. They took the time to understand my dog’s needs, explained everything clearly, and delivered real results. I appreciated how supportive and respectful the entire process felt, and I could see a noticeable improvement in my dog’s behavior and confidence. I contacted Dogs by Andy to inquire about service dog training for my existing dog. As an Army veteran with documented medical conditions, I was looking for information about what services were offered and whether their program might be a good fit for my needs. The receptionist was polite and transferred me directly to Andy. Unfortunately, my interaction with him was extremely disappointing. Rather than asking questions to better understand my situation, my dog, or my training goals, he responded in a dismissive and unwelcoming manner. At one point, he compared my inquiry to saying I had a problem with a car without providing enough information, which came across as rude and unprofessional. As someone reaching out for assistance, I expected a trainer to ask follow-up questions and guide the conversation. Instead, I felt brushed off before I had the opportunity to explain my circumstances. After his response, I told him that I did not appreciate being spoken to in that manner and that I did not believe we would be a good fit if he felt it was acceptable to speak to potential clients that way. He then ended the call. I called back afterward to make the front desk aware of the interaction. The staff member I spoke with was polite and attempted to help, which I appreciated. While I cannot speak to the quality of the training itself, my experience with the owner left a very negative first impression. Based on this interaction, I would not feel comfortable recommending the business to others seeking service dog training, especially those reaching out for guidance and support for the first time.
