Trained Boarding is designed as a refresher course for our returning Camp graduates, a consultation for dogs that have not had formal training, or a time for mental stimulation during your dogs stay. For training alumni: We work on increasing the 3D's: Distance, Duration, and Distraction level for each command they've already learned, to build reliability and reinforce continued good behavior. We purchased our new puppy from Hopeful Dreams and worked with Domestic Dog Training for our puppy Jasper’s early obedience training before he moved in with us. We could not recommend this partnership and Steve at Domestic Dog Training more highly. When Jasper moved in with us at 4 months old (two months iwth Domestic Dog Training), Jasper knew heel, sit, down, place, and stay, and was mostly potty trained and fully crate trained. The foundation Steve built made an enormous difference in both Jasper’s behavior and ease of transition into our home as first-time dog owners. Steve didn’t just train our dog, he helped us continue the obedience work and create a smooth, structured transition into our home during those critical first weeks, and months. We’ve stayed committed to continuing the training ourselves, which has been incredibly important, and Steve was always responsive early on whenever I had questions as a new dog owner. Since bringing Jasper home, we’ve consistently been complimented on both his behavior and temperament. He is calm, confident, socialized, well behaved around people, and plays extremely well with dogs of all sizes and ages. We think so highly of Steve and the training program that when we travel, we plan to board Jasper with him and continue investing in taking his obedience to the next level. We don't live close, but are willing to make that sacrifice. One thing worth noting is that while some breeders and trainers focus heavily on social media and constant video updates, Steve is 100% focused on the dogs, doesn't let anything distract him from him work, and cares deeply about the quality of the training itself. The end result shows. We strongly recommend Domestic Dog Training, as well as his partnership with Hopeful Dreams to anyone looking for serious, high-quality obedience training.

They do a fantastic job grooming our girls. Emily is amazing! Our Tula can be very difficult, but she loves going to see Emily. They always come out just right and I never had any issues. Best groomers we've ever had. Highly recommend!!!

We can't say enough about Steve and his team at Domestic Dog Training are so glad we sent our new 2-year old rescue for two weeks of day training. Miss Skye had no idea how to walk on a leash, pulled hard and needed help with a few other behavior issues. We saw changes immediately after the first day and she quickly learned the commands. After receiving our own lesson we are continuing her training each day and very happy dog owners. We look forward to bringing Skye back to board in the future. Highly recommend!

Amazing!! I was looking for a two week board and train for my foster (soon to be foster fail). Although she has always been a sweet baby, she had her "quirks"...like screaming, highly distracted and fence fighting. This was nothing I had expected a miracle for, especially in two weeks. I am blown away with her progress. I had checked out another place in state and felt "meh" about it. I am SO happy we checked out domestic dog because even with just a meet and greet I learned a few things and felt 100% comfortable leaving my baby here! I came to pick my girl up and she showed zero reactivity to other dogs and learned so much and has yet to let out her raptor scream. Not only did she make more progress than I had hoped, we left fully supported from training to diet recommendations etc. Price is beyond reasonable and not a single push for a product or anything. They use the basics for her to be the bestest girl! We will 100% return for any training or boarding needs.
