I can’t say enough good things about Dean and Double D Dog Training! We’ve had just two sessions so far, and the difference in my puppy’s behavior is incredible. Dean has a calm, confident presence that immediately put both me and my pup at ease. He doesn’t just train your dog—he teaches you how to communicate effectively, which makes all the difference. One of the first things we worked on was the “touch” command, and I honestly didn’t expect it to work so quickly. But just a few days after learning it, my puppy darted out the front door. My heart dropped—but I called out “touch,” and she stopped in her tracks, turned around, and came straight back to me! I was stunned. That one moment alone made the training worth it. Dean is clearly passionate about what he does and tailors his approach to each dog’s needs and personality. I’m really looking forward to the rest of our sessions. We did a lot of research and called a lot of different people to find the perfect trainer. Dean was definitely the right pick. He is very nice, professional, patient, and has a great sense of humor. He’s very comfortable to be around and makes the training process a great experience for everyone. He turned my timid, scared dog into a confident one. He is easy to contact and has great communication about appointments and updates. I highly recommend his services.

We had a great experience working with Dean for our 7-month-old corgi, Appa. Dean helped Appa learn all the basics of obedience training—sit, stay, down, drop it, and more. He was incredibly patient, knowledgeable, and really took the time to make sure we understood how to reinforce the training at home. Appa responded so well to Dean’s calm and consistent approach, and we’ve seen a huge improvement in his behavior. Highly recommend Dean to anyone looking for a reliable and effective dog trainer!

Not only is Dean a master at his craft, you can tell he loves what he does. The whole family would be so excited when he would arrive for our weekly training session. Even our old diabetic dog who isn’t allowed treats still wanted love from Dean! He was a phenomenal trainer for our puppy, but more importantly my husband and I so we could easily learn the skills needed long after training ended. He was a joy to be around and our puppy learned the necessary commands quite quickly. We picked up our 4 yr old early from school so she could be there for our last session and he was the absolute best helping her learn and participate. He bought adorable presents for our pup at “graduation”, but also our other dog and daughter. It was so sweet and thoughtful. Dean is the absolute best and we’re going to miss him now that training is finished!!
