Down 4 Paws Dog Training

What a great experience!! Pam not only helped us train our pup but she taught us a ton about dogs in general. Day one we had a puppy that would fly out the door the second you opened it. At the end of our first week he was sitting and waiting for us to invite him out! That is just one example of the multiple commands she taught us. We had so much progress we signed up for a second set of training sessions to hone in on his obedience and to teach us some techniques on how to train tricks. I would and have recommended Pam to others in need of help. No matter what the behavior is, she can help you figure out the why and then move forward with the correction.

Pam is so gifted, kind, knowledgeable, punctual, and professional! I reached out to her for behavior modification and basic training of our newly adopted 14-month-old dog. These are the teenage years when they test a lot and we were all acclimating to each other. From our first assessment session our dog (and we) learned a ton and Pam gave us plenty of tips for moving forward. We booked 5 more sessions and we saw our dog’s behavior, and our ability to react appropriately to misbehavior, improve immensely. There were improvements with jumping, counter surfing, leash walking, recall, and “leave it,” to name a few. Pam personalizes every session, provides really helpful session summaries and handouts, and is available always for questions. We’re going to sign up for a group class with her this summer, too. 12/10 recommend Pam and Down4Paws!

Down 4 Paws is a great place to turn to for obedience as we did or for tricks as we are starting to do. We have learned so much from Pam and would recommend her to anyone, actually, we already have. She adjusts the training style to fit the parent's and pup's personalities. Pam teaches general dog behavior as well. We have learned to read other dog's body and tail language to help us assess each interaction and remove our little fur ball before it gets dangerous. Thank you Pam! We go a lot of places and needed our rebellious Shih Tzu puppy to listen and respond to our commands out in public. We have gone from 10% to 100% on our outdoor commands. In just 1 lesson he went from flying out the door to sitting and staying until we release him. Huge safety issue for us. We love Pam and have signed up for 4 more session. 5 STAR RECOMMENDATION!!
