Down for paws dog training was a great experience for us as well as our pup. we started when he was five months old and just recently ended due to weather issues, etc. Pamela Brown was excellent at training the trainers and we have a great control set up with our now eight month old pup. We highly recommend using her training services especially for a young pup. Her great tips and tricks as well as follow up after appointments is second to none and left us with a very secure feeling that we know how to move forward as we all grow together. I would use her again if the need ever arose.

I reached out to Down 4 Paws for personalized training for my reactive 3-year-old dog, Tarot. While we had tried group classes in the past, it became clear he needed dedicated one-on-one support to overcome his leash-based fear aggression toward other dogs.
From our very first consultation to our final session, Pamela made us feel like family. She never once made me feel judged during our setbacks or challenges, and instead met every struggle with genuine empathy, compassion, and encouragement. After each session, she provided detailed wrap-up notes and actionable homework, always reminding me to stay positive even when progress felt slow.
Even though Tarot’s training package has officially ended, I continue to feel supported. When he recently underwent TPLO surgery, I worried about his reactivity returning after months of isolation. Pamela reassured me that she’d check in on us as he recovers, and remains available for future one-off sessions if needed.
Finding Down 4 Paws and Pamela has been one of the best decisions I’ve made for Tarot and me. I truly cannot recommend her enough!

Pam helped us a lot with our little puppy, 4 months old. She quickly detected her behavior and explained us what it meant. Then Pam showed us how to correct it. In our case, our puppy was barking at cars passing by during short walks. We applied her advice and now after only 1 month, she barks much less. I warmly recommend Pam to anyone who needs help with their growing puppies or adult dogs. 🐶
