Pamela at Down 4 Paws was awesome. My dog had SEVERE separation anxiety to the point when I couldn’t even walk out the door, and it was giving ME anxiety because I couldn’t go anywhere or do anything without finding someone to sit with the dog. I tried everything (trying a protocol of walking out the door, calming plug-ins and calming treats, toys, calming dog music, long lasting treats) by the time I contacted Pam. She came in and worked with Ziggy and I and started where we were at, working on in the house separation first and working our way up. She gave me the knowledge and tools I needed to discuss options with my vet, worked with my routine and schedule and gave me all the options to try so Ziggy and I could be successful. I’m happy to report Ziggy can now stay alone for HOURS at a time. Thank you Pam!

Pam helped us so much with our rescue pup's separation anxiety. Through our program she has provided clear and personalized guidance and always sent detailed & helpful session notes. She is very mindful of incorportating dog training into our busy life which makes it easier to follow through. We are very proud of our pup's progress (from screaming his head off to 1hr quiet time), thanks to Pam's training!

Thanks Pam, it's been great working with you! Not only has it made a ton of difference in the way Maizy behaves but you have also helped me understand why she does what she does.

I was apprehensive to get a trainer. I read some horror stories about trainers treating dogs badly ( chock chains, loud commands, etc.) I didn’t want that for my dog. Fortunately, I called Down 4 Paws. Pam arrived and she was wonderful. My dog loved her. Pam is intuitive. Her demeanor was one of understanding and calm. She uses encouragement and positive reinforcement. It works.
I have seen a noticeable improvement in all aspects of my dog’s behavior. I also learned how to manage my reactions better. Pam is terrific! She was exactly the positive trainer that I was looking for.

I contacted Pam when I was at my wits end. I was very concerned about my puppy's behavior and Pam promptly responded to my inquiry. I really appreciate her knowledge and expertise as well as her kindness and reassurance. Pam gave me specific strategies that I could immediately put into place. It has only been a couple of days and I have seen a difference in my puppy's barking already. I'm so happy that I reached out to Down4Paws Dog Training.
