Family is the best description of Ducktown Lodge. Lucindia, Jeff, and Sara have created a calm, quiet, low stress boarding environment that feels like home. Our German Shepard had his own immaculately clean spacious suite. They took him outside several times a day where they played frisbee with him one-on-one. Lucindia’s communications were great! Each day we received videos along with texts to show how our fur bay was getting along. We could not have asked for a better boarding experience for our pet.

Cannot recommend this place enough if you are looking for a dog trainer. We sent our 7 month old puppy here for the 2 week training program and he came back a different dog. Sara was so attentive and asked us before hand what we wanted her to focus on. She also took the time to train us, which is half the battle once you pick your dog up. We are extremely grateful for Duck Town and would recommend to anyone looking for some peace with their dogs! Franklin now respects us and seems so much happier with some structure in his life.

I cannot overstate how thankful I am for how amazing our family’s Great Pyrenees is doing at only 7 months old with the training and support we’re all getting from Miss Sara and Miss Lucinda Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training. With our 50+lb. girl still less than half the size she’s projected to be when fully grown, I really wanted to make sure her rapid increase in size and strength didn’t result in unintentional “owwies” or scares for my 3 and 5 year old sons that could affect their bonding with her. I first reached out to Miss Lucinda when our puppy was around 3 months old for information on their training program, and her professional guidance and recommendation to start with Clover’s board & train when she turned 5.5-6 months old could not have been more spot on. I thought it would take months of me exclusively training with her before she would maintain the same boundaries and responsiveness with my young sons, but it’s been just over a month since she went for her 2 week board & train, followed by our Saturday morning group sessions, and my boys and I are absolutely thrilled that she’s able to enjoy being out with, and loved on by, us because she’s respectful of their boundaries and commands as well. Our experience with Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training and the York family has far exceeded my hopes and expectations for Clover’s training, and when it comes to boarding her, I can’t imagine her being in anyone else’s care. I know she’s attentively loved on and safely cared for, which allows me the peace of mind to enjoy our travels. So glad we were referred to Ducktown Lodge & Dog Training, and they’re our recommendation for your pups’ care and training as well.
