Empower Canine

I can’t say enough about Emily and the incredible impact she’s had on both me and my Bernedoodle, Izzy. From the start, Emily made an effort to understand what mattered most to me as a dog owner. She focused on the specific behaviors I wanted to work on and gave me the tools—and more importantly, the confidence—I needed to succeed. Having the training sessions at home was such a bonus. It made the process feel natural and comfortable, and it helped Izzy learn in the environment where she spends most of her time. Thanks to Emily, owning a dog has been more rewarding and enjoyable than I ever imagined. Everyone who meets Izzy is blown away by how well-behaved she is, and I always tell them, “Hire Emily—it’s 100% worth it!” I’m so grateful for her knowledge, her patience, and the way she truly empowered me as a dog owner.

Emily is an experienced, balanced, and compassionate trainer I would recommend to anyone looking to build a better relationship with their dog(s). She meets you where you’re at, offers step-by-step guidance, and teaches you how to best fulfill your dog’s needs or work through challenging and unwanted behaviors. Our big guy (Irish Wolfhound x Poodle, not even two) has grown in spades under her care and we are so grateful to have worked with her from the moment he became a member of our pack. Emily and I worked together on a training program for our dog, Junie. Junie had a great foundation when we adopted her, but she struggled with anxiety and some behaviors surrounding her fears. I also had ambitions of Junie having excellent recall so that I could trust her off leash. Emily has an incredible understanding of dog behavior and psychology and was able to truly understand the root of Junie's behaviors and how to address them. Emilys training focused on creating structures that would make Junie more comfortable and confident, as well as giving me the tools I need to set boundaries and expectations with our pup. We did four training sessions, but because of Emilys ability to fine tune the training for the clients individual needs, I have been able to maintain a positive trajectory and continue working with our dog to build our relationship and make the world a less scary place for her.
