I’m so incredibly grateful that Heather Tyack and Everyday K9 Training were recommended to me. Winston has only been to dog training classes twice, and we’ve already seen such a huge improvement in his behavior and anxiety! Heather has made this puppy and dog training experience truly wonderful. I’ll be honest—I was hesitant and nervous about bringing him to class. I’ve been in situations where Winston pulled me to the ground, and people have said hurtful things about him, calling him “too crazy.” So coming in, I didn’t have high hopes. But Heather created a safe and welcoming space for us. She guided us with positive reinforcement dog training techniques and showed us how to properly care for and handle our chocolate lab. She’s built our confidence while creating a supportive community where we feel seen, heard, and comfortable sharing our concerns without judgment. I love her saying: “You don’t know what you don’t know until you do.” We never felt guilty for not knowing how to train Winston, but now we do — and it feels amazing. We’re still learning so much every class! Heather’s experience, knowledge, and care for dogs and their families are unmatched. If you’re looking for professional puppy or dog training in Tampa, especially for dogs with anxiety or behavior struggles, I can’t recommend Everyday K9 Training enough. We’re so excited to continue this journey and see how far Winston will go!

I found Everyday K9 after three other training attempts with my reactive German Shep/Mastiff mix, Luna. I was coming home in tears daily after walks and begged my spouse to try one more time if I could find a recommended trainer. He agreed, and I googled the best dog trainers in my area and came across Everyday K9, sent a message, and not so patiently waited for a response. I was still a little reluctant to put Luna in another training program, and Heather allowed us to come to a class without our dog. I was so astonished at all of the well-behaved dogs, and people sharing their stories, so we decided to enroll Luna because all I ever wanted was to enjoy life with my dog and do the things they were doing. I am beyond the moon happy that I decided to give it another shot because I do not know where I would be without the community, Heather and Chad. They have all been a major support group not only for me, but for now my two Shepherds and I would not trust another trainer or team with my dogs. When I think about the previous training that we've been through and what we are currently doing there are major differences. Most trainers, train your dog and hand them back to you with a few sessions after, but not Heather and Chad. If you are willing to wholeheartedly put in the work and take the wins, but also not-so-great moments, they are your people. They have literally become like family to me and my two dogs Malana and Luna. The whole community is a great support system that is non-judgmental which creates a safe place to learn and grow. Trust me, my journey has not been easy, and I have had to learn some hard lessons, especially after bringing in another puppy to our family, and Luna's reactions spiraling out of control, but I wouldn't change our experience for the world. Heather has given me some tough love over the years that I have been with the community, but if it were not for that, I would not be where I am today with my dogs. We have learned so many useful everyday tools such as separate but together, heel, leash handling drills, dog body language, and chilling out to create an obedient, less fearful dog. I know my team will continue to grow with Heather, Chad, and the community, and I can positively say that I am so excited to continue to learn and grow with the team. I have really found everything that I was searching for and more with Everyday K9, and that is something very hard to find. Thank you, Heather and Chad for everything you have given us.

I came to Heather with an overly excited and reactive dog that would flip out every time we passed a dog in public because he wanted to say hi (especially on our neighborhood walks). I wanted the group training aspect of her classes so he could get used to being around a lot of different dogs with different energies. Heather gave me the confidence and taught me the skills I needed and he does much better now. I appreciate her direct methods and being real about training my dog because let's be real - no dog is perfect. The confidence building is a big one for me because I was avoiding situations with him instead of overcoming them. He is a much more confident dog these days and we've been able to participate in fun dog things like agility and scent work. Our neighborhood walks are way calmer now and he behaves out in public at events and outings. Thank you, Heather!

Heather changed my life with my unemployed herding dog. Can’t thank her enough for her guidance and classes. I’ve been taking my pup to class here for about a year now. The changes in my household have been remarkable. Thanks Chad and Heather!
