Faithful K9 Trainer LLC

On July 24th, Animal Control Officers with the Coeur d’Alene Police Department were contacted by an animal owner who picked up two dogs from the Faithful K9 Trainer kennel. One of the dogs was showing obvious signs of distress from heat related issues and the owner took the dog to the vet for treatment. The dog subsequently passed away. After the initial report, Animal Control officers responded to the kennel to inspect the conditions both with the facility and with the remaining dogs. Officers found several concerning issues and began working with the staff at the facility to immediately remedy the situation. When they returned on July 25th for further follow up, they noted several of the same issues and were concerned for the welfare of the remaining animals. Later that day, Animal Control officers worked with the city to revoke the license for Faithful K9 Trainer. Animal Control officers and Detectives then responded to the kennel to contact the owners of the remaining dogs. All of the dogs were safely removed from the kennel on the 25th. Animal Control Officers are continuing their investigation which may result in criminal charges. We had consistently used Faithful K9 to board our Springer Spaniel. We made reservations to board him for a ten day trip to Europe. When we went to drop him of we were shocked to see a note on the door saying “closed until further notice”! We didn’t get any warning or a phone call despite them having all of our contact info. Thankfully, Northwest Pet Resort was able to take him averting a catastrophe. We will never return to Faithful K9 and will share our poor experience with everyone we meet!
