Hello. I'm am sorry you feel you had a bad experience. When we first spoke I was made aware that you found princess as a stray. I want to remind you that during that initial converstation I did state "this consultation is for me to evaluate your dog, do a meet and greet, answer any questions you may have, and for me to determine if we are good fit to work together". This means I reserve the right to refuse service to anyone, if I feel we are not compatible to work together. I always commend people for trying to help stray pups. However, unfortunately sometimes it does mean making an impulsive decision that isn't 100% thought out. And this can lead to tough/stressful situations. When you arrived for the consult you had princess on a leash that was not on correctly and very obviously tightening around her abdomen where viltal organs are located, and I very quickly switched her to my leash. Then during the consultation I was made aware that princess would continue to live outside in the back yard of your parents house on a chain until after she was trained. I did give you my price for my board and train program and did discuss how I work payment plans because you asked. My board and train price is the same no matter the dog breed or age, it's all the same price. After careful consideration I felt as if I was not the trainer for you. Which is exactly what I said in my email when I informed you I would not be taking you on as a client. I was not more specific in my email because I honestly did not want to get into a back and forth discussion on if it is morally correct to leave a dog outside on a chain. But when you called and asked me to be more specific I did inform you specifically why I did not want to continue. I feel where I failed here was not being more direct in the moment. I will take this lesson and make sure I change that going forward. Thank you for your feedback.

Abby is wonderful! She has given me so much confidence with my difficult (85 pound) Cheseapake Bay Retriever puppy. The dog and I were misunderstanding each other and she has given me so many tools to communicate with him in a positive way. I I can not recommend enough ❤️

Our rescue dog, Bentley, needed behavior modification training and Abby with Family Dog Obedience & Training was perfect! She never gave us false hope about what to expect but was professional, positive and loving each training session with Bentley. She taught us to be patient with the process and so much more. Bentley has learned simple commands such as: sit, wait, down, off, up, dance, crawl, crate and shake. He is able to walk “off leash” and returns on command. He has an obstacle course and will run through the tunnel, jump over the bar and through the hoops with ease. He has overcome some of his fear of people wearing hats and uniforms and brings such joy to our family. Thank you Abby for loving and helping Bentley!
