We had met Abby at a time when we felt like we were truly at the end of our rope with our sweet pup Theo, who has severe anxiety and fear based reactivity. Theo was not socialized properly as a puppy before we got him, and we didn’t realize how big of an issue that would be… but then COVID hit and trying to socialize him became nearly impossible. We couldn’t invite people over to the house, and we couldn’t take our dog anywhere. It was heartbreaking to see my dog struggle with such extreme anxiety and to live in constant fear every single day of his life. I had reached out to numerous behavioral trainers in the area over the last year and I never felt like I could find the right one for us. Our vet wasn’t much help either. Several dog trainers in the Columbus, GA, area even refused to work with us due to Theo’s reactivity- but Abby never shied away from us. Theo needed someone who could understand his fear and use positive reinforcement to help build his confidence… I needed someone that I could trust, and someone who would listen to what goals I had for my dog. Thanks to Abby, my dog and I are just now starting to be able to enjoy the world together. Abby is professional, knowledgeable, encouraging and passionate about what she does and it shows! My husband is in the military, so we also needed someone who could be a bit more flexible with our training schedule too. We have since moved away from Columbus, GA, and Abby still answers all of our questions and gives advice when needed.
