Our Black lab, Eddy just finished her training with Anthony and Mike. We are so impressed with everything Fetching Feathers has to offer and the results Eddy is showing. We were looking for a place that would teach her how to retrieve, but also how to be a good house dog — We got both of those things. I was nervous about sending my sweet, cuddly, happy lab to 3-months of training, but can confidently say that Eddy is the exact same dog I dropped off just much better behaved and stoked to chase birds. Anthony and Mike care deeply about each of the dogs and give them the attention they need to be successful. Thank you for taking care of Eddy and sharing her progress through videos, pictures, and report cards. That is an awesome touch. Sent our 1 year old GWP Sage to training with Anthony. I always felt like the team at Fetching Feathers understood dogs are an extension of our family. Provides video and photo updates several times per week along with a monthly “report card” Facilities and kennels are first class. Dogs stay in an insulated building with heat for the cold spells. Everything is clean and organized. Dogs are well behaved, no excess barking. Anthony’s house is adjacent to the kennels, allows for more interaction and shorter durations between bathroom breaks for the dogs. If something were ever to happen it’s comforting to know Anthony is right there. Sage was very timid at first and I was unsure of her potential. Once she got comfortable with the new surroundings Anthony and team were able to build her confidence and unlock a machine. Point thru retrieve, Anthony made sure to focus on each step. Beyond the field work, leash training and “place” are core components of Anthony’s program. It’s nice to have a high energy dog that you can still take on a walks without pulling the entire time. The “place” training is incredible. I can put Sage in a single spot, introduce all sorts of distractions (guests, little kids, other dogs) and she stays put.

Anthony did an outstanding job training our English Cocker Spaniel. From the beginning, it was clear how passionate he is about what he does and how much he genuinely cares about the dogs he works with. He even went out of his way to train her in wetland environments since my husband duck hunts, which made a huge difference in her field work. His knowledge, patience, and dedication exceeded our expectations. We couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend Anthony to anyone looking for a skilled and committed dog trainer.Any of our future gun dogs will definitely be going back to him.

Fetching Feathers gave our field Lab puppy Millie a strong, structured start and a solid foundation we can continue building on. She came home with impressive place, recall, and leash skills, along with greater confidence and impulse control. Their facility provides the perfect environment not only for hunting dogs, but also for active adventure companions (what we were focused on for Millie) to learn real-world skills, get plenty of exercise, and grow. Beyond training the dog, they also invested in us as handlers by providing practical coaching, nutrition recommendations, and guidance on how to continue Millie's development at home. Anthony and his team were knowledgeable, professional, and genuinely cared about Millie’s success. We couldn't be happier with the experience and highly recommend Fetching Feathers.
