Foothills Canine Academy

My name is Sassy and I needed some help since I am a hesitant pup. Not only did Aunrt Brenda help with socializing she showed me that I can walk on a loose leash, come, sit , and drop items / leave things that can hurt me Those are just a few of my big girl skills. I am going back to school to see what other cool things she knows. By the way I really love our recess time because we run and jump and roll like the big pups we are. Safe to say that I love going to school. Thanks Aunt Brenda see you soon!

I have owned multiple dogs for over 30 years and took them all for training. Brenda Dreyer of Foothills Canine Academy far surpasses any classes I have attended previously. Her training techniques were easy to do and so quickly effective. Brenda is thorough at describing the why’s and why nots of each technique. Her positivity and seemingly boundless energy makes the classes fun for the dogs and their human companions. I can’t recommend her enough, and I know my 2 dogs can’t wait for the next round of classes to begin!

I was looking for a place to take obedience classes in the heat of the Phoenix summer, in preparation for starting competition in the fall. Somehow I stumbled upon the relatively new Foothills Canine Academy with Brenda Dreyer, and I'm so glad I did! The first thing that is apparent is how much Brenda genuinely loves dogs and enjoys training. And the dogs love her, too! Brenda offers classes at all levels, from puppy on up. The facility is clean and beautiful. Classes are small enough so everyone gets individualized attention, and are fun and upbeat. I just finished the Intermediate class with one of my dogs, and the Advanced with the other. I enjoyed it so much that I signed up for two more sessions. Brenda is an amazing instructor with the skill to see exactly what each dog (and handler) needs as well as the ability to communicate feedback effectively. Both my dogs have learned new things and improved greatly during the 7 week classes. This facility fills the need for an indoor dog training center in a central Valley location. I cannot recommend Foothills Canine Academy and Brenda Dreyer highly enough!

Brenda genuinely loves her job and all of her clients. She is patient, knowledgeable, friendly, very flexible with home lessons/ lessons at her facility and our dog Daisy LOVED her and looked forward to going to class each week to learn. We took her course ‘leash manners’ for beginners and she helped us so much with managing our dog with leash pulling and other undesirable behaviors. We can’t wait to enroll Daisy in her engagement class starting in the fall. Highly recommend!
