At For Paws, we use a variety of positive reinforcement techniques and methods while watching or training your pet. We work with your dog’s natural instincts to encourage desired behaviors and promote a stronger bond with you and your family. We have found that positive reward-based training produces the best results. Your pet should never fear you or us when being watched or trained. Our trainers have learned to be creative and versatile using the best techniques and tools to create a positive learning environment to motivate both the dogs and their owner/handler.

Staff at For Paws are extremely friendly, knowledgeable and professional. In particular, Ms. Lori has been very helpful by providing us with specific advice and tips for dealing with our puppy’s training issues—and her advice and tips are working! The training sessions are always very informative and conducted in a very professional manner. The facility is always very clean.
We have a very social doodle, and needed to work on showing her how to curb her enthusiasm. For Paws has coached us to shape Lucy's behavior such that she always receives compliments about her behavior on walks or at Lowes. She loves class time and learning new skills!

We started taking our Pittie/Staffy/Husky mix puppy (Rosa) here in January for group classes. We’ve been going several times a month since then and she is now just over a year old in Level 2 classes. All of the trainers are extremely knowledgeable and great to work with. We’ve never raised a puppy before and would be completely lost without these classes. Jim has been especially attentive and helpful with specific issues that we’ve had with Rosa and her behavior improves with every class. We could not recommend this business and these trainers more!
I took two of my dogs for training at For Paws. They are awesome. I couldn't be more pleased with Jim and his crew. One of my dogs is now a therapy dog. I highly recommend them.
