How much work do I have to do?
That depends on you and your dog. However, most owners find that if they work with their dog for at least 20 minutes, 2 times a day, they will see remarkable results.

What training methods & equipment do you use?
We use a 'motivational' dog training approach. This method uses a combination of Traditional training and Positive Reinforcement training - tailoring programs to fit each individual dogs' temperament and needs. We use a variety of training equipment - depending on what will work best for each dog and owner team. Motivational Trainers reward through praise, treats, toys - whatever works for the owner and dog. They also give leash guidance to the dog and owner to stop or control problem behaviors that are destructive, annoying, or dangerous.

How often do we come to training classes?
Weekly or every-other-week training sessions generally work best, but we know sometimes life gets hectic. So, we try to be as flexible as possible with meeting your scheduling needs.

How much does dog training cost?
While it's impossible to estimate cost until we meet your dog, we have programs from around $900 to $1800 - completely depending on what we're working on with your dog. Our goal is to find the service that works for you and your individual needs. We also offer financing through PayPal Credit. Ask yourself this: How much does a waste of time & money cost? Amateur dog trainers usually charge around $400 to $600 per 6 week course. They do NOT offer specialized behavior modification methods. Imagine paying good money and then your dog is more aggressive, destructive, obnoxious, and disobedient than before. Over 50% of the dogs we see each year have already been to large group training classes with an amateur dog trainer. Another 30% of the dogs we see each year have been to other private trainers or board and train programs, and in some cases have spent thousands of dollars on methods that just don't work. Training without a good foundation doesn't give reliable, predictable results.

I worked with Meg, and she is a very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional individual who created a safe environment throughout the course. Even other trainers at this facility that I may not have worked directly with, but engaged with has upheld those same characteristics. We have a darling Havanese puppy. Due to the fact that she is a very small dog, we let her get away with some annoying habits. You know what I'm talking about. We had taken her for a walk one day, and it occurred to me, that she is highly intelligent and would probably benefit greatly from doggie training. We enlisted the help of the incredible gals at Front Range K9 Academy, and literally from the very first session, we knew we made the right decision. Their training methods are kind and consistent. They even send home a video to refresh your memory. Sophie is no longer a naughty dog. She just wanted us to show her what to do. We’ve absolutely loved our experience with Front Range K9 Academy. We have a 2 year old shepherd/ heeler mix and we were getting very worried, and frankly frustrated, with her reactivity. We completed the “problem solving” program with Front Range K9 and learned so much! We have a whole new way to communicate with our dog and have learned a lot about building her confidence and ways to work on her reactivity. The trainers are patient, kind and extremely knowledgeable about working with dogs. This is the best money we could have spent for our dog! We are excited to continue our training with them in the next level of obedience class!
