Fun Paw Care Dog Training

Russell is the best! I met him a few months ago and have seen how much of an impact his techniques have made on my friend's dog, Dog - its incredible! During training sessions, he showed us how to encourage good behavior from Dog such as not pulling on the leash, looking for permission before crossing a street or moving ahead, and slowing/speeding up his pace to match ours. Also, Dog used to get really excited when we would come home and he taught us techniques to calm him down, including modifying our own behavior and tone to reward calmness and not jumping. It's been great and has made the time we spend with Dog even more enjoyable (which I didn't even think would be possible! :)) If you are looking to get your dog trained, I highly recommend Russell & Fun Paw Care. My 10 year old pup Bubba has developed severe separation anxiety over the years and it has only gotten worse. I tried everything from medication to my own training techniques at home. Nothing has worked so I researched dog trainers/behaviorists in the area. I was lucky enough to come across Russ and Fun Paw Care. Russ was incredibly flexible with his time and was able to come see us almost immediately. We worked on two behaviors with Bubba: Separation Anxiety Disorder and a little bit of Fear Reactivity towards some dogs on leash. We walked through all the necessary steps it will take to minimize my dog’s fear, anxiety and stress when left alone at home and when on-leash walks around other unfamiliar dogs. As hard and as stressful as it has been with Bubba’s training and behavior modification, Russ has been able to make a difference while keeping me levelheaded. We still have a long way to go but I am forever grateful to have found him. Thank you Russ!

I’m grateful to have been introduced to Russ and Fun Paw Care. During our phone consultation he listened attentively as I shared the challenges I’ve been facing with my dog, Zizou. The primary reason I reached out to Russ was to learn how to get Zizou to stop barking when he hears people outside my apartment. Russ asked questions to gain a clear understanding of the issue, the environment and other possible contributing factors.
