Golden Standard Canine Training

Carissa, owner of Golden Standard Canine Training, created a very effective training process for our rescue dog Cooper. We are Cooper’s 3rd owners in 4 years so we expected some behavioral issues. After working with 2 other trainers in the Carbondale area, with limited success (in our case), I contacted Carissa. Within in 8 sessions, Cooper has a owner that knows what he needs to be an effective master.our walks outside are now very enjoyable vs the nerve wracking experience it was before. Bottom line. She knows her business. BUT, as a owner You must, In my Opinion , reinforce the lessons when you are back home.

Carissa absolutely nailed designing a training regime customized to our needs and Dexter's personality. We live near Paducah, KY but the drive to Carbondale, IL was absolutely worth it. I researched many dog trainers in the area and am SO glad we picked Golden Standard. In the second photo he is gently playing with a kitten outside, OFF LEASH! Poor thing used to get chased up our trees. That's just one example of how far Dexter has come in only 8 weeks in training. He is only 10 months old and I cannot wait to see these skills develop even further. Truly a blessing. Thank you, Carissa. We will sincerely miss you!
