I recently adopted a rescue dog who started showing reactivity and potential aggression really early on. We were able to connect with Liz and Jacob who gave us hope and ensured us that we would have all the tools we needed to help our dog. Within 3 weeks they were able to transform our dog's behavior and teach us how to properly handle him. When we first got him he was dragging me on the leash, wanting to attack other dogs or us for stopping him and going crazy when people visited. He now listens to our commands, allows people in our home, walks like an angel and is significantly less reactive to dogs. They also provided all the tools including his collar that we got to keep! We really appreciated all of the communication from the team daily on Lucky's progress. We always received report cards that had photos and videos of what he was doing everyday. It was so nice to see his progress and also the love he was receiving while training.

We cannot say enough wonderful things about the staff, experience and owners of Great Lakes Dog Training Company. We initially started with onsite training and then made the decision to utilize the Board and Train. Our puppy Eleanor thrived in the board and train, mastering skills that many older more mature dogs still struggle to complete (place for over 30 minutes with distractions galore!). We received a puppy report card daily and could tell that each trainer was thoughtful and caring. Even after her return, they've checked in on her progress and given hints to continue to reiterate the skills and behaviors learned at Board and Train. It was a great experience! Thank you!!!

Am I able to give 1000 stars?! We cannot begin to put into words our gratitude for Liz, Jake, and the entire Great Lakes team. The experience from start to finish was phenomenal. Our story is similar to many others. We are combining two households and our pups were not understanding how to mesh well with one another. We contacted Liz and Jake for help and were immediately met with warmth, solid advice, and clear direction. Together we formulated a plan. We decided the board and train program would be best for our pups and ultimately for our family. This choice was absolutely the right one. I cannot stress enough how HIGHLY we recommend GLDT and believe the training program was worth every penny and more. Fast forward to today, our fur babies are co-existing beautifully within our home and working diligently on their obedience. Thank you GLDT for everything!

Jacob & Liz far exceeded expectations when it comes to my chocolate lab puppy, Gary. Prior to training there was a constant struggle to communicate and effectively manage expectations. We are thrilled with the results and progress Gary has made in such a short amount of time. Getting updates while he was at training allowed us to see his progression and all of the environmental exposure that he truly needed!
