I am so absolutely impressed with the training my Golden Retriever “Piper” as well as the training I received as a “fur baby” mom! I was amazed at the difference in Piper’s behavior and demeanor as well as the control I know have over previously frustrating behaviors ie. Jumping on me, destroying pillows, counter surfing for food, running off when door opened, pulling me on walks, etc. I can truly take her in public or have guests in my home now! Additionally, I had confidence the staff were well trained to be effective & experienced in working with a variety of dog breeds, understanding each dogs unique motivations and intrinsic drives. They demonstrated a sincere love and care for the dogs, had activities and field trips throughout the day to keep the dogs actively engaged while also having fun. I will be taking Piper to daycare and boarding as needed with them in the future as I know Piper loves them and sees this as a second home. Thank you head trainer Mike and all staff - you guys are amazing!

I had the best experience with Mike during the two week training program for my puppy Luna. She transformed from being a crazy unruly puppy to a very well behaved one. We can now enjoy taking her places with us as well as taking her for long walks around the neighborhood. She listens and obey around 20 commands. Furthermore, we just had to travel out of the country for a week and the follow up with pictures and videos during the boarding time was great. Knowing that our pup is well taking care of and safe when we are far away is a peace of mind and make us happy that Luna continue her training at the same time she is having fun with her furry friends! We cannot say enough good things about Hakuna Matata Dog Training. We sent our 9 month old Golden Irish for the 2 week puppy school. We had attempted at home training but with four kids we weren't able to achieve the results we wanted/needed. He was 75 lbs at the time and just a horse to corral. Michael and the team gave Tucker an amazing foundation. They reset some terrible habits such as overzealous greetings, pulling while walking and counter surfing that was making life super difficulty with such a large puppy and very little kids. The time Michael spent with us when Tucker completed his training was invaluable. We needed every second of those hours and it meant the world to have him in our home so we could recreate real life scenarios and not just perfectly set up situations in a training facility. This allowed him to work with not only my husband and I but our children as well. He was so patient as we asked a million questions and as he worked with our kids. We still had a ton of work to do after the training to really solidify all he learned. We needed to reset boundaries in our home and really work to set in stone the things he learned- mostly his greetings/boundaries and walking/heel work but again, Micheal set us up great for that. He gave us tons of tips and directions we could easily follow. We get compliments on Tucker all the time as people come into our home or as we travel, and we owe that all to Hakuna Matata dog training! We will 100% send him back for boarding and follow up training over the years!

Michael and Joselyn are running an incredible dog training business. I've trained my dogs by myself in the past with what I thought were decent results, but with our new puppy, I wanted to invest in her to the level she deserves. She'll be a family member for the next decade-plus, so why not give her (and us) all the tools we can in order to live our best life. Owner, Michael, was her trainer and right away we could tell we made the right call with Hakuna Matata. Our dog did the 2-week overnight training camp and she came back a different dog, in all the best ways, while still being herself. At the end of camp, Michael dropped her off with tons of info, training us for several hours, and even included a new collar, leash, easy-leader, etc. Trust the process and enroll your best friend-- you won't regret it! There's a clear return on investing in your dog, one that keeps on giving. Added bonus-- once your dog completes their training, the dog is eligible for boarding at an extremely competitive price/night and the Hakuna Matata team gives them continuing training while there! Other boarding places cost more and deliver less. Highly recommend!
