Anna-Marie took care of my 1 year old shih tzu puppy, Tater Tot, for almost 3 weeks while we were away. She was wonderful as she was very flexible with drop off/pick up times, and gave Tater Tot lots of love but also trained him! Tater is much more calm and well behaved now! He was brushed everyday, made many new dog friends, and enjoyed his walks. Anna-Marie updated us with cute photos and videos of him and we can’t wait to have him back with her again!

Matthew of Happy Heart Pet Care has been wonderful with our German Shepherd puppy Mila! My husband and I are first time dog owners AND neither of us grew up with dogs. We had an unsuccessful experience with weekly group puppy socialization classes (Mila was basically kicked out), and we quickly realized that we needed to enlist the help of an expert to help us raise our spirited, high-energy gal. After extensive searching, I found Happy Heart and I really liked that Matthew emphasized the ways in which he works with each dog's unique personality as a trainer. We've been sending Mila to daycare & train sessions around 2 days a week since she was about 14 weeks old and it's helped create a great foundation for the rest of her life. She's very friendly with new dogs and people, which was something I was initially concerned about since shepherds can be standoffish. (Matthew and Anna Marie's dog Bubba has been a great mentor dog to her too - she LOVES Bubba.) We've also appreciated the guidance and peace of mind that comes with being a training client of Happy Heart Pet Care. Over the last few months, Matthew has very patiently answered ALL of my husband and my texts regarding Mila's development... from reassuring us that certain behaviors are normal, to advising us on what to work on at home... and everything in between! We don't know where we'd be without him. Last but not least, we've boarded Mila here and it's amazing not to have to worry while we're away. We always know Mila is having a blast with Matthew, Anna Marie, Bubba, and her other dog friends. 10/10 would recommend!

My cockapoo Teddy loves staying with Anna Marie at Happy Heart Pet Care! She treats all of the doggies as if they are her own. I love that Teddy gets the opportunity to socialize with both big and small dogs as well as continue his puppy training with Anna. Happy Heart Pet Care is exactly what Teddy needed to improve his social skills and always arrives with a happy wagging tail. Anna Marie truly has a passion for animals and we are so lucky to have found her. I would highly recommend for daycare as well as extended stays.

I am an EXTREMELY over protective Dog Mom to my 5 yo French Bull Dog Brodie. I have been searching for a dog sitter and trainer for him as long as I can remember, but I’ve never been satisfied leaving my fur baby until I found Happy Heart Pet Care. I will say I love to spoil my boy and only the best will do, however, this also meant he got away with a lot more behavioral wise then he should. So I needed to find someone knowledgeable that I could trust with my boy… I haven’t been able to find someone reliable that not only had the experience to help train Brodie, but that I felt comfortable trusting to care for him. Anna Marie checks all the boxes. She not only has helped with Brodie’s training, but I trust her to care for him as if he was her own. She is truly our dog nanny! Brodie loves Anna Marie and he has become such a better behaved boy since he was introduced to her training and care. Having a person who not only will train your dog, but love them the way you would is priceless. He respects her and she has a great relationship with my boy teaching him with obedience training and socialization. All the dogs she cares for are very well behaved so he has her pack to learn from as well. She also is a great resource for a number of suggestions and advice with regard to your pets health and well being. She is always the first person I call or text to ask any questions with regard to his health or needs, which is invaluable. She is one of the most kind and understanding people I’ve met in LA and I have no doubt I would ever find someone who cares or loves Brodie more as a trainer or dog nanny than her. Needless to say I highly recommend Happy Heart Pet Care. Your life will be easier with your dog if you use her, trust me!

We are so happy to have found Matt and Anna Marie! We were in a tough spot with our pup, just nearing 1 year and suddenly started showing signs of resource guarding and becoming very fearful of strangers and environments where she was not fearful before. Of course, so many other basic commands she needed help with too. Within just a few sessions her resource guarding was gone, and her basic commands were already showing tremendous improvement. It made me so incredibly happy to see. Matt kept me updated with photos, videos and overall feedback on how she was doing throughout the day. He gave great feedback and detail on how we can continue the training at home. We will definitely continue our training sessions, the progress is too good to stop now!
