Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs

Chris and the team at Happy Tails have made a huge impact on the quality of life for our pup! My fiancé and I took our rescue through their full boarding/ training program to address some of his issues related to anxiety and command disobedience including leash pulling and reactivity when around other dogs or in new environments. Their work with him has made a world of difference for his quality of life, as he now has the skills to adjust quickly when faced with triggers. It’s been awesome to see him become more confident and relaxed in certain situations he used to really struggle with or be able to take him to places he might have been too overwhelmed to deal with before. He’s still learning and the program requires you commit to doing some work too but it has been so worth it to give him a great foundation of training that lets him enjoy life and also create deeper bonds with us. We also appreciate that Chris continues to be a support for us anytime we need some advice. It’s worth nothing that we have enjoyed our experience with Happy Tails boarding for graduates and how they provide options for reinforcement or advanced training while we’re away.

My experience with Happy Tails was amazing! I started with puppy classes, and they were very mindful of making sure your dog is comfortable, but also challenge themselves. I then did a board & train with Chris. Chris made me feel comfortable leaving my puppy with them, he updated me nearly everyday on how she was doing. My pup is now such a good listener, I know how to advocate for her, and understand her limitations. I have never done a board & train with any of my dogs, but after this success, I will continue to choose Happy Tails!

My partners family and I have been utilizing Happy Tails Learning Center residency training programs and trainer, Chris, for years and will continue to do so. The training approach and services this business offers are so unique and unlike any other facilities available in Michigan. The staff are so patient, knowledgeable, communicative and caring. The building is always well maintained and constantly undergoing upgrades for better experiences and offerings. They also give back to the community and volunteer at local events. We took our golden retriever, Murphy to happy tails learning center after I saw how well a friend of mines dog was trained. Our trainer was Chris. He was amazing. He talked with what is about our expectations and what we wanted out of training. Murphy did a two week residency. After Chris worked with him I was able to actually walk him myself. He listens so well and still retains all the training he was taught.
