Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs

Happy Tails Learning Center for dog training is amazing! Chris did a phenomenal job with our English Labrador, Kion’s 3 week basic and advanced residency training, in addition to his brother Ronon our 5 year-old English Labrador joining him for a week of refresher training with integrated activities. We are so pleased with the training results! This is our second dog going through residency training and we highly recommend Chris for your dog’s personal trainer! Kion is very well behaved with our 3 cats and loves is “place” blanket. Thank you again!

Happy Tails was by far the best decision we made for our Frankie and our family. He went in as an unsure, reactive and non stop barking dog to completing and coming out feeling confident of himself in different environments thanks to the tools he and us as a family learned. Our trainer Chris was the best part of our experience he sent frequent videos and updates about Frankie’s progress and really put us at ease for being away from him for a few weeks. Everyone knows Frankie when we walk in for boarding or refresher trainings and it makes us feel like family!

Update (2026): still fantastic business and still worth every penny! Tammy's (12 yrs old) trainer has since left for personal endeavors and Onyx's (3 yrs old) trainer has too. LOVED both of them. Chris has stepped in and worked with us as needed and we appreciate it so much! The fact that all the trainers, even going back 10+ years, all use the same system for communication and expectations (dogs and humans) makes the transition between trainers so smooth. As I felt more confident with both my dogs together, I needed help with identifying my oopsies as the human, that's where Chris came in - he's experienced as a trainer and working with two dogs because he has two dogs. Chris is patient with the pups getting to know him, but also just enoigh crazy to go dress up in the most obscure costumes to help my nervous scared of the world pup experience the silly, maybe scary, things she'll come across in life. Services we've used over the years: residency (3 weeks all split up into 1 week intervals that worked with my schedule), boarding (for Happy Tails trained pups only), FitDog, personal tune up training for 1 pup individually and both pups together. 2019 or 2020 original review: The trainers are fantastic! I used them about 4 years ago with my pup and haven't ever thought about going anywhere else. 1-on-1 training. Effective and non-treat based. My pup still behaves to this day (yes, we still practice and do our own at home training maintenance). Best thing that has happened is Tammy now knows how to deal with stress and anxiety around small children. You're gonna get what you're paying for here! :)
