Happy Tails Learning Center for Dogs

Our boy Lewis trained with Chris for a two-week residency. As a 1 year old high-energy Lab, Lewis was mouthy, tough to get on a leash and resisted commands. We knew going into the program that Lewis was smart and eager to please, and Chris really capitalized on that. Chris kept us updated throughout his residency and was so sweet to our boy. I love that they allowed him to be his spunky self throughout training. Lewis is much more well-behaved, and although he still steals a sock or two, we are no longer constantly chasing him around the house. We feel so much more in control. Lewis is very responsive on and off leash and we are so glad that we had faith in Chris and Happy Tails! Thank you!!

Our golden retriever puppy Cora stayed at Happy Tails for a weeklong residency program with trainer Chris. We are so impressed with all the progress Cora made working with Chris, especially with her leash manners. He has been super helpful after the training as well. We had a follow up session with Chris where he offered suggestions for us. We highly recommend Chris at Happy Tails for any training program, you will not be disappointed!

Our dog, Boss, spent 3 weeks in a residential training with Chris while we were on our honeymoon this summer. I was really nervous because Boss is older and has a long history of reactivity. He has attended Fit Dog for years, but hasn’t been boarded since he was in a rescue. Although he didn’t love the boarding, he made such an amazing transformation with his reactivity to other dogs, bikes, squirrels, etc. I can walk him and take him for car rides again with ease! Chris, Lindsay and the whole staff were so wonderful with updates and answering any questions or concerns I had. I would highly recommend the residency program and only wish I had done it sooner!

We cannot say enough good things about Chris at Happy Tails. He worked with both of our pit bull rescue dogs during a very difficult period when they were fighting, and his guidance was absolutely critical to restoring stability and safety in our home. Chris is exceptionally knowledgeable, patient, and practical in his approach. He not only helped address the immediate behavioral issues, but also taught us how to better understand our dogs and manage situations proactively. Even after the formal training sessions, he has remained readily available by phone or text whenever questions or concerns arise. That level of commitment and accessibility is rare and incredibly valuable.
