Heartland Dog Training Center

It would have been better to just flysh my $100 down the toilet. Took my puppy for training... she's mild-mannered and friendly. These people will apparently take any and all dogs. I signed up after the cut-off date, and they allowed into the class - because apparently there is NO class size limit. They had at least 3 dozen dogs crammed into the small training room. At least 3 were terrifyingly vicious. The "instructors" had absolutely no qualifications, class plans, or organizational skills. They seemed to just be volunteers who needed to be the center of attention. We spent 3/4 of the class time just STANDING in a line with our restless puppies, listening to this neurotic, witless, disorganized time-wasting braggert talk about herself. At times there would be 2 or more volunteers playing "instructor", giving conflicting instructions (opinions). Meanwhile the more restless and vocal dogs would be barking or out of control. The entire experience was frustrating and just stupid. Even the handouts made no sense. Most of the "information" was just silly ideas, or veterinarian advice (advice I should get from... oh yeah!... my veterinarian) One witless "instructor actually said to me in front of the class that my dog's breed "had the attention span of a gnat". Ironically I would say the same about her. What this place needs is a real leader who decides which volunteers are actually qualified to instruct. And get rid of the idiots.
