Highland Canine Training - Alabama

Incredible experience here with Corey and the team. Our two goldens have now gone through basic training (3 years ago) and now we just picked them up from advanced training today! We are amazed at the progress they’ve made. Their trainer Imelya was incredible at updating us with how they were doing with training every step of the way. We are so grateful to Imelya!! When we go out with the pups people will come up to us and say what good dogs they are, and I always say it’s thanks to Corey’s team at Highland K9. The absolute nicest people work here and I put my upmost trust in them! Highly recommend trusting your dogs with them!

I first called Highland Canine Birmingham in 2022 to get help with Clara, our newly adopted shelter dog. We were having trouble with nipping and food aggression toward our other dog. Clara did the 6 week board and train and came back reformed. We went from fearing that we had made a huge mistake with her adoption to truly having the best dog that anyone could imagine. We have not needed to worry about her in any situation. Our other dog did the 3 week board and train and came back proficient in basic commands, easier to walk, and much better behaved around Clara. They had a chance to bond at training, and we haven’t had any trouble with them since. Fast forward to today: we fostered and ended up adopting another shelter dog. We wanted to give her the best chance at being successful and didn’t think twice about sending her to Highland Canine. She just came home with us today, and Corey Archer and Wyatt did not disappoint. Once again, the training was on point, and all of our dogs are doing great. Don’t get me wrong. It is work to have well behaved dogs, but Highland Canine lays the groundwork and trains you, as the owner, to know what to do. I can’t say enough good things about Corey Archer and his crew.

We cannot say enough about Highland Canine Training! Cory and his staff are truly the “dream team”! They worked with our 18 month old British Lab, Isaac, who was aggressive, stubborn and dominating….. the results were amazing! Cory and the staff are so knowledgeable, patient, and kind, it’s like they get inside the little fur babies minds. We were so pleased with how Isaac responded, and when we brought him home after training , we couldn’t believe our eyes……. A totally different dog! Imelya was Merle's trainer. (Merle is a year old Standard poodle.) I cannot say ENOUGH good things about her. Merle is like a different dog. We had issues with him jumping up on us, our grandkids and whoever came in our home. Not being mean, just excited to see someone new. NO more! (OK. He did once or twice but, by her instructions, we let him know right quick that just because he was home, he wasn't going back to his old ways. He hasn't.,) She stayed in contact with us, and gave us numerous updates during the 3 weeks he was at Highland Alabama.
