I just got back from their 4 week canine handler school for police and working dog handlers. I have been so impressed with their knowledge and professional approach to working dogs. The trainers are some of the most knowledgeable and approachable folks in the working dog industry. Highland K9 is an absolute amazing place! I went for the Police Handler course, and my mind was blown away at the amount of knowledge and care they provide. I knew nothing and before I left they made sure I was 100% confident in my ability to handle my new partner! I recently attended Highland Canine Training, LLC’s dual purpose handler course for law enforcement. The course was 4 weeks (160 hours) long. Highland’s professional staff assisted each student in the classroom and in real-time scenario based training exercises day in and day out. My K9 in particular is trained in Scent Discriminate Trailing, Criminal Apprehension, and Narcotics Detection. Once the course was over, I felt completely comfortable taking the knowledge that I learned in school to bring it to the field or to use what I’ve learned to expand on training. The staff at Highland Canine Training, LLC have your best interests involved. They’re not your typical business whereas money is the objective. The Highland staff gets to know you on a personal level, and you truly become one of ‘The Highland Family’! For you LEO men and women out there, to put it in perspective: my K9 has only been on the street for two weeks now and has already found fentanyl, heroin, meth, marijuana and an assortment of pills. Knowledgeable and experienced staff. Tried, tested, and proven training. Highly recommended!

I recently went through a 2 week training at Highland K9 for a bedbug sniffing dog. The training was awesome! All the trainers we worked with treated me like family and you could tell they were passionate about what they did. Thank you Ryan, Jason, Shana, Amber, and Adam for all the training and being patient with me while I was chucking the reward “in the kitchen”. Atlas is a doodle, and well, if you don’t know much about doodles, they like to doodle. Atlas likes to doodle as well but he loves to work. I have had him home for a month and he is alerting on live bedbugs weekly. If you are looking for the best training and experience, call Highland K9. They are great!
