We realized right away that our 4 month old cattle dog mix had a completely different personality than any puppy we'd ever had. As the weeks went by we became frustrated and anxious and didn't know what to do. We knew she needed training but not in a group setting. I found Hodge Canine thru a link from the humane society, and we signed up for in home lessons. The results were dramatic and his process made sense. Shyla loved being around him and she had fun too. So much of the training involved teaching us, her owners, and we continue to use what we've learned. We did 12 lessons and it was worth every penny. We definitely recommend Joe 😊

I can’t recommend Hodge Canine enough! Joe worked one-on-one with my rescue dog, JoJo, and the difference has been incredible. JoJo is about 2½ years old, and when I first adopted her, she had no awareness of her size and needed help with her manners and overall behavior.
Joe did an amazing job explaining everything in a way that was easy to understand. He didn’t just teach JoJo. He taught me how to better understand her and communicate with her. Every session was informative, encouraging, and tailored to what we needed.
JoJo is a completely different dog now, and I truly can’t thank Joe enough for everything he’s done. If you’re looking for someone who genuinely cares about you and your dog and takes the time to help you succeed, I highly recommend Hodge Canine!

Joe was incredibly knowledgeable and supportive throughout the entire process. He took the time to help us understand Mimi's behavior and gave us practical training techniques that we could use every day. We saw steady progress throughout the program, and Mimi has come such a long way. Joe has provided us with the tools to continue to work with Mimi on our own.
