Holy City Canine

I’m not one to write reviews but Holy City Canine has been a life saver and deserves all the praise! Our golden doodle Theo was just just over a year when my wife and I decided to get some help. Theo would pull when we walked him, bark in his kennel at night and early in the morning, jump on furniture and people, and would NOT come when called. My wife and I wanted to train him but didn’t know how to do it by ourselves. We saw the reviews for HCC and decided to enroll him in the In home Board + Train program. What stuck out to us was 1) Jonathan’s commitment to quality change, not just a generic 2 weeks for every dog 2) Jonathan’s commitment to “be on retainer” for the life of the dog should we have any questions. It has now been 6 months since we took Theo home and the money we spent for Board + Train was EASILY the BEST investment we made all year! Theo is much better on walks, loves his kennel and never barks when in there, is very obedient with furniture and people, and overall a happier more confident dog. This week my wife and I had a couple questions about a certain command and we decided to reach out to Jonathan for some clarity. Instead of just telling us what we need to know and sending us off he offered for us to come over and show us in person how we can lead Theo well. The greatest value we received in working with HCC is a more confident well behaved pup, confidence in our ability to lead him, and an ally we can always tirn to when we feel lost. Jonathan is a miracle worker. I have a 1.5 year old Canaan dog that I rescued during a deployment. When we were overseas, she was the happiest puppy, always wanting to play with the other dogs and people. When she got to the states, she was a completely different dog. She would get so scared from a slight noise that she would shake or pee on herself. I could not take her out in public or outside the house without her pooping out of fear and trying to pull me back into the car to go home. She was clearly miserable and her not being able to enjoy life was making it hard for me to leave the house or do anything. I sent her off to training at another facility, thinking it was the right thing for her, but she came back just as scared, if not worse. She knew her commands but we still couldn't leave the house without risking her safety. After spending time at Holy City, she is a completely different dog. We go on daily walks, out to eat with friends and other dogs, and she travels with me to see family and friends. We just got back from a trip to Florida where she was comfortable being in a new environment and loved playing with my cousin's little kids. She is a much happier dog and I am a much happier dog mom. Well worth the investment for both of us and I would recommend Jonathan to anyone looking for training or anyone in need of behavioral therapy for their pup.

My boyfriend and I got Otto, a Cane Corso puppy, back in October. We knew we were going to need a trainer because of his size so we started to ask around and Holy City Canine came highly recommended. We started with the Advantage Puppy Program. We learned so much in our sessions and Otto was doing great! We knew we wanted to do the Board & Train program as well, so when he was old enough we called Jonathan and he was able to take Otto in. Just over 2 weeks later we came to get him and he was a new dog! He is still only 7 months old but he is so much more calm, he listens to commands and is happy in his 'place'. I can't recommend Jonathan and Holy City Canine enough. We were blown away and so excited to see all of the great changes that were made in such a short amount of time! Thank you, Jonathan!
