Barratt of Home Field Training and Kennels was the perfect fit for me and my family. From introductory calls about his setters and their pedigree to taking the plunge and now, bringing home a new bird dog. And wow, his whole line of setters are amazing. Barratt was dependable and trustworthy with weekly update calls and update pics helped to see the progress of the pup. I would highly recommend if you can, allow Barratt to start your young dog for a few months of training to get them started. 10/10 would recommend Barratt with Home Field Training and Kennels, don’t hesitate, buy that pup, get that pup trained…from Barrat!

Started working with Barrett a few months ago with my new GSP pup. I’m always cautious with trainers who might have a heavy hand or end up doing more harm than good—but I was genuinely impressed by Barrett from day one. He has a real ability to work with each dog individually and bring out the best in them. He doesn’t force it; he fosters the dog’s natural instincts and abilities, which lets them progress quickly while actually having fun. The result is beautiful bird/dog work and cleaner, more stylish points. Wishing Barrett the best on his travels to Texas this winter.
