Honor K9 Dog Training

I’ve been working with Mark for a few weeks now and met him through Hope Ranch. My “scared of everything” German Shepherd puppy, Atticus, was getting big and looking tough but was anything but tough. He was scared of his own shadow and thought the world was “big scary.” In the past 3 weeks, Mark has helped so much with Atticus and given me so many tools as Atticus’s human; so that, I know how to help him more effectively. I definitely didn’t know what to do with him and have never owned a shepherd before, and I was in the “what was I thinking adopting a puppy” phase of having a puppy; so, I definitely needed help. If you’re struggling as a new human to a puppy, don’t wait, just reach out and get the help! It makes it much happier and more enjoyable and the dog bonds with you so much more through training. And he’s very affordable too, which I know is always a consideration for a new dog owner when you are purchasing and investing in so many other things. Mark is so knowledgeable especially about the working breeds, and it’s really fun to learn from him; he’s super patient with us humans as we are learning and it makes for such a great learning environment for everyone. I’m stoked to keep advancing Atticus’s training. We just finished up our first training package today and am pumped to start the next one!

I highly recommend Honor K9 as they have been so helpful in ensuring a positive and smooth transition when we recently adopted our 3 year old pup named Buckey. Since our very first training session with trainer Mark, we saw immediate results and since then, Buckey has made remarkable progress with weekly lessons which has lead him to fully adjust to his new family and environment. Mark is very knowledgeable and patient and he goes above and beyond to maximize the training sessions. In each session, we learn valuable tools to better understand Buckey and specific techniques to improve his behavior. We reached out to Mark last minute in a slight panic as our 6 year old dog was not adjusting well to the big change of bringing our newborn home. He does great with our 3.5 year old son, however the adjustment to now adding a newborn was a lot for him and he attempted to bite our toddler. Unsure why this happened we knew we needed a trainer and we needed one fast as this type of behavior from our dog was not something we had ever seen from him before. We contacted Honor K9 on a Saturday and they were able to start training the following Monday. Not only was him and his team quick to respond and communicative but Mark truly is amazing at what he does. He is compassionate and caring and his passion for his job does not go unnoticed. He has been able to walk us through behavior management training exercises at home so that we are able to continue training even when Mark leaves our sessions. We have only been in training for 2 weeks (have completed 6 sessions in total) and we have noticed a significant change in our dog’s behavior.
