Unleashing Potential: How Dog Trainer Val Revolutionized Our Experience When we first adopted our energetic and spirited Avery the joy of adding a new member to our family was quickly overshadowed by a series of challenging behaviors. From pulling on the leash during walks to excessive barking, jumping on guests, and relentless begging at mealtimes, we were at our wit's end. Then, we were fortunate enough to find Val, a dog trainer whose expertise and compassionate approach have dramatically transformed our daily lives and our relationship with our beloved dog. Mastery in E-Collar Training One of Val's specialties that stood out to us was her adept use of e-collar training. Initially, we had reservations about this method, but Val's thorough explanation of how it works, emphasizing its safe, humane, and effective nature, put our minds at ease. She demonstrated how the e-collar could be used to reinforce commands and correct behaviors with precision and minimal discomfort. The results were astonishing. Our dog responded positively to the training, learning to associate the gentle prompts with the desired actions and behaviors. This method, under Val's guidance, proved to be a game-changer, offering a level of communication and understanding we hadn't thought possible. Walking in Harmony Val's approach to teaching our dog to walk without pulling on the leash has transformed our outdoor adventures together. She introduced us to techniques that focus on mutual respect and understanding, turning our previously chaotic walks into enjoyable and relaxing experiences. Now, walking side by side has become a reality, thanks to Val's patience and skill. Silence is Golden: Addressing Excessive Barking Excessive barking was one of our major concerns, disrupting not just our peace but also our neighbors'. Val's strategy was twofold: understanding the root causes of the barking and teaching alternative behaviors. Through consistent training sessions and at-home practices, our dog has learned to communicate in more appropriate ways. The incessant barking has been replaced with a calmer demeanor, much to our (and our neighbors') relief. A Leap in Behavior: Eliminating Jumping and Begging Jumping on guests and begging at the table were behaviors we thought were impossible to curb. However, Val's expertise shone through once again. She taught us how to establish and maintain boundaries with our dog in a loving yet firm manner. The difference in behavior is night and day. Our home is now a place where guests are greeted politely rather than being overwhelmed, and mealtimes are no longer interrupted by pleading eyes and pawing. Beyond Training: A Lifelong Transformation What makes Val an exceptional trainer is not just her ability to address specific behaviors but her dedication to fostering a deeper bond between pets and their owners. She has empowered us to continue our dog's training and development beyond our sessions, equipping us with the knowledge and confidence to handle future challenges. Our home is now filled with harmony, understanding, and mutual respect. In conclusion, Val's impact on our family has been profound. Her expertise in e-collar training, coupled with her holistic approach to addressing behavioral issues, has not only transformed our dog but also enriched our family's life. We are deeply grateful for her guidance, patience, and passion. For anyone struggling with their dog's behavior, Val is a beacon of hope, proof that with the right approach, every dog has the potential to be their best self.

Valerie is doing life changing work here!!!! My partner and I got a basset hound puppy, named Dudley, in January of 2023. We have grown up with puppies and are very aware of the “biting stage.” Dudley never came out of this stage and unfortunately, only got more aggressive. Seemingly out of no where, he’d lunge and bite us. I was covered in bruises to the point that people at my place of employment were asking me if I felt safe in my own home. The answer was no, but it wasn’t because of my partner. It was Dudley. We dealt with this for an entire year and in December, my partners dad told us about imprinted paws. He said his co worker had brought a dog there and it made a complete 180. We were incredibly close to rehoming our dog. We love Dudley, he’s our child, but I couldn’t deal with his behavior anymore. So, we sent him. We got Dudley back, after a 4 week stint with Valerie, and he is a completely different dog. He was diagnosed with hyper aggression. He can now receive affection and play without biting. It makes us tear up to this day because of what state we were in prior to sending him to her. Everyday we are shocked at what he can do. If you’ve made it this far, thank you! We can’t thank Valerie enough for what she’s done for us. She listened to us, and believed us!! Which was someone no one else had done yet. Each dog she trains, she creates a unique relationship with them. It’s truly beautiful. She keeps you well updated and makes sure you know what’s going on with your dog the entirety of their stay. If you’re questioning sending your dog somewhere, no more! Imprinted paws is the best!! 🩵

My poodle puppy, Winston, went through Imprinted Paws board and train and came back a completely changed dog! Valerie and her team were amazing to work with and took care to make sure Winston and I felt comfortable with our new skills. Winston kept his cocky and playful personality and gained great manners and a bunch of confidence on the leash. I look forward to taking him on walks and showing him off to all my neighbors and friends. Imprinted paws gave me a confident and calm dog and left me feeling empowered to continue to grow with my puppy. I cannot recommend them enough!

Valerie and her staff are knowledgeable and friendly. A few years ago, Valerie helped me train my dog Hammie to be a therapy dog. He had a wonderful impact on the kids he worked with during his service. We just had our lab puppy go through Imprinted Paws board and train program. Pearl is now able to walk beautifully on a leash, and be with our toddler while we have family time. Pearl is obedient and calm - a huge difference from when we dropped her off. I will always take my dogs to Imprinted Paws for boarding and training. They are by far the best!

Peace and reassurance are just two of things that both the dog and owner will leave with after their experience with Val at Imprinted Paws. Our home and lives have transformed as we better understand our dog, and our dog has completely transformed as she has learned her role in and outside of the house. Val builds relationships with all of the dogs and meets them where they are at. You leave equipped with the tools to maintain your dogs training. Val trained my 3 year old dog and then my 1 year old for 10 days at Imprinted Paws. She then came to my home to make sure the two knew how to interact with each other. I would highly recommend Val and her team!
