Imprinted Paws

there are not enough words to describe how grateful I am for val. my pup molly came in treating our house like an obstacle course, absolutely no manners, terrible walking, was terrified of cars, and reacted to all animals. after little time with val i am proud to say I can bring molly almost anywhere with the comfort of knowing she will behave and impress those around her. now we are working on off leash training and I couldn’t be more excited!

Valerie and her team at Imprinted Paws gave us a peaceful home! Before Fred went for training, his manners were terrible and out of control. He barked at everyone, jumped on our guests, pulled on the leash, and was nearly impossible to take anywhere. Training was a total game changer for our family. Not only did Imprinted Paws work with Fred, but they taught us how to be better handlers and now Freds quality of life has improved tenfold as a result! We’ve been able to have people over to our home and Fred stays in his place. Last weekend Fred enjoyed his day with us at a local farmers market and was able to walk through a dog friendly store. We enjoy our walks with this guy now-no more pulling and yanking on the leash. Fred gets to experience so much more with us and there is zero stress. His groomer is grateful too!!

Can’t say enough wonderful things about Val and her team! Our boy came home with manners and my biggest desire was walks he now achieves that perfectly and is not focused on distractions. He loves his Place and is now a happier well rounded puppy! He did a 4 week board/train in Oswego but traveled to stores and even did some swimming! Not to forget he’s bestie Marv that he met durning training! Remy , Dad and mom are thankful for you again Val and Team! Xoxo

We recently had to downsize while waiting for our new home to be built. This placed us with 4 kids and a puppy in small quarters! Despite training classes and constant reinforcement- we struggled with jumping, holding sits/downs, table begging, and taking food out of small children hands. I was worried that living on a main road with the potential to run out the door would lead to an unfortunate future and a lot of dog chasing- which I was not about to do. We chose to sign up our goldendoodle to align with our move for the 4 week off leash board and train program. My husband had to admit, it was the best money ever spent! The day we came home, our once wild puppy would sit at a busy park and we were able to enjoy him stress free- we even let him tag along on date night out for cocktails where he was a perfect gentleman despite other dogs and excitement on the patio. I was worried that my kids would ruin the progress of this dog- Val taught me that my kids cannot ruin the dog- they’re not the leaders. Despite my 4 year old saying “free,” my dog still holds place outside with a ton of excitement. He’s still the fun loving puppy we always wanted, but without the stress. Don’t second guess this choice- thanks Val and Team. Please consider starting a program for my 4 kids! Haha
